Copying within Wikipedia
editThanks for identifying the source of the material in your edit.
This type of edit does get picked up by Copy Patrol and a good edit summary helps to make sure we don't accidentally revert it. However, for future use, would you note the best practices wording as outlined at Wikipedia:Copying_within_Wikipedia? In particular, adding the phrase "see that page's history for attribution" helps ensure that proper attribution is preserved.
I've noticed that this guideline is not very well known, even among editors with tens of thousands of edits, so it isn't surprising that I point this out to some veteran editors, but there are some t's that you need to be crossed.S Philbrick(Talk) 12:03, 18 August 2020 (UTC)

editEducation in Spokane article
editSince you asked a question on the Talk page and I’ve been adding the content recently, I feel I should weigh in. About the scope, I was generally trying to include education institutions that are significant enough to mention in the Spokane metro area (Spokane County basically), but providing more detail on ones in city limits and mainly just giving a brief mention to others further away. What’s relevant and not is a bit subjective and as is said in some places, it’s not an exhaustive list, I listed all the public high schools in Spokane city limits, and the major ones in the valley. I didn’t think about updating the Spokane Public Schools article, I probably should have. I listed what I thought were the major traditional private schools that covered at least half a high school education along with whatever affiliations and accreditations they have...People are more willing to travel for a private school of their choosing so I included ones like the Upper Columbia Academy since it is in the county and has a Wikipedia entry/article. I tried to make the article somewhat useful for making informative decisions for schooling, public, charter, or private. It may not be comprehensive, but it’s better than the void of information that was there before. FYI, I looked at the Education in Portland, Oregon article before I started adding those lists. When talking universities, I would opt to include a state university like EWU in Cheney, even if it’s outside city limits. It’s basically a Spokane area commuter school. I’m not sure what is out of date, since most of it was taken from recently accessed websites, but feel free to update stuff that is out of date. Hope I clarified what I was going for there. I was actually planning on not editing this website anymore since I wanted to focus on other things so whatever you do I’m not going to object to. I do hope you don’t delete a bunch of the content off the encyclopedia completely since I spent a decent amount of time gathering the info and writing it down lol. Thank you for your interest in improving the article. Please keep in mind that that in English wikipedia we do not capitalize section/subsection/etc. titles. Please fix your edits. Lembit Staan (talk) 17:34, 20 June 2021 (UTC)
