Tips
- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

- You may be able to get some some changes made but edit-warring (applying the same edits again and again) isn't the way to do it. Go to the article's Talk page, click "Add topic" and set out why you think your large chunk of text should be included. The edit summary of the user reverting you mentioned "Excessive detail", so set out why you think it's not excessive detail, and be prepared to negotiate and compromise. On a quick scan, there's nothing wrong with your content, so the discussion should be about whether it all belongs in the Mughal Empire article or whether it should be shorter, and the other content put in a sub-article. We're all here to make Wikipedia better, but people will have different views on how to do that so we have to find consensus between the different contributors. Don't be discouraged!
