Re: Vaseline on the lens
editIt's from a magazine. They were previewing a Naruto game where the guy was doing a special attack or something, and the picture was all blurry. So teir caption was "Vaseline-On-the-lens-Jitsu!" CrowstarVaseline-on-the-lens-Jitsu!fwends! 17:49, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Airport death
editI agree, and as the news developed, I was waiting to see someone alter what I had posted. However, her death is still unusual no matter the autopsy. Pepso2 18:22, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
AfD Britney
editHi Keeper, your old AfD for Unreleased Material from Britney Spears was closed with a no consensus because of the lack of reasoning. You're going to have to redo the AfD from scratch, you can't just add to the closed AfD or else it will be simply removed.--Torchwood Who? (talk) 20:49, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
- Torchwodwho beat me to it, but I have also added a comment to this affect to your attempt at reviving the AFD. You're welcome to do so, but please follow the directions at WP:AFD to submit a fresh nomination. 23skidoo (talk) 23:53, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
First off, not MY old anything. That was someone else who clearly didn't care enough to make the effort to show what he felt it should be deleted. Second, I read through the thing a couple of times but I don't know. It's not as intuitive a system in some ways as it could be. I didn't cut and paste anything, the system put that up the moment I tried to put the tag thing on the page. I'd just as soon not have the shortest and lamest discussion in Wiki history cluttering the issue. Third, I screwed up that old talk page by trying to take it off my new request. I don't know how to fix it or I would have, just saying that before everyone goes insane. Sigh. I didn't even care that much to begin with but now I'm invested in at least trying to get a discussion if nothing else. If you've read the page you'd see it needs a lot of work (if it deserves to exist at all) and any help I could get (instead of people just telling me I messed something up) would be appreciated.
For the record, I do like Britney (even with all of her problems of late), but I don't know how a page about things that the public never heard is necessary. If nothing else, the page needs to articulate how the material is important when it never reached the public and really only matters to the people she worked with. And not for nothing, but there are many artists better than her that don't have pages like that because it's against policy and doesn't add anything that a body couldn't get on any one of her million fan sites. Anyway, if I could get a little help untangling this mess AND then maybe get some honest to God discussion as opposed to people just being obstructionist and fanboy-ish (not sure that's a word but I'm going with it), that would be great. - It wasn't my intention to suggest the older AFD was yours -- it's pretty clear that was nominated by another user. I was simply pointing out that the AFD was formatted incorrectly (and I agree it is a clunky system), so in order for the discussion to occur properly I had to call it to your attention. No offense intended and no opinion is being given (at least in this venue) regarding the article in question. Cheers! 23skidoo (talk) 13:22, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
- Hey Keeper, I understand where you're coming from. I'll go in and properly format the AfD for this.--Torchwood Who? (talk) 13:24, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, I've opened the AfD here Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Unreleased material by Britney Spears Let's see if it works.--Torchwood Who? (talk) 13:36, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
