Hi Kelzdorjee. The helpme template is really for a question about using Wikipedia, that an experienced user will be able to help you with. What you want is a general knowledge forum and one that concentrates many users in an area related to the topic. Here, you would want to ask your question at the Computing section of Wikipedia's reference desk. When you do so, please do not forget (as you did here) to sign your post by typing four tildes at the end (~~~~)) which will automatically format to your signature and place a time stamp when you click save (these can also be placed using the editing button which looks like this:  . Question about talk pages

edit

how do i reply to some one who had responded to my question? i'm a newbie--Kelzdorjee (talk) 12:26, 8 May 2010 (UTC) {{helpme}}Reply

When people 'sign' there name, their signature (almost always) contains a link to their talk page. For example, at the end of this message, you'll see my own signature. The left-hand part of it (  Chzz ) links to my user page, and the right-hand part of it ( ► ) links to my user talk page.
So, if you click on the right-hand part, you'll be taken to User talk:chzz, and that is where you could leave a message for me. You should 'create a new section' there, and add your message, remembering to 'sign' your own name with four tilde signs, ~~~~.
For more help with anything, please talk to us live, with this or this.  Chzz  ►  12:48, 8 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
  • Ask for help. Talk to us live, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
  • Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better. For example, Wikipedia:Cleanup#2009.
  • When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.

Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.

There's lots of information below. Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia!
