editThank you for making a report about 189.19.154.165 (talk · contribs · block log) on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, it appears that the editor you reported may not have engaged in vandalism, or the user was not sufficiently or appropriately warned. Please note there is a difference between vandalism and unhelpful or misguided edits made in good faith. If the user continues to vandalise after a recent final warning, please re-report it. Thank you! Toddst1 (talk) 20:29, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
Re: Help Request
editUnfortunately I'm rather busy at the moment, so I'm not sure how much help I'll be of. Sorry, –Juliancolton | Talk 18:34, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

flu
editSome warning may be good for the swine flu article just like hurricane articles have warnings that people seek information from local authorities, not Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a weather service or a doctor. User F203 (talk) 19:08, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
Readers are advised to refer to local public health officials for official information or their doctor for medical conditions. Wikipedia is written by volunteers, not the Wikipedia Foundation, and cannot be held responsible for healthcare |
Wikipedia must be careful. When there was a hurricane, I read that some people consulted Wikipedia! Wikipedia is not a weather center. Information can be out of date and if one is stupid enough to rely on the Wikipedia weather forecast, they could die. I'm not so hellbent on putting a warning but I think it's a good idea. If you think so, consider what you should do (put it in?) User F203 (talk) 19:17, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Your recent edits
editHi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 14:38, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Tavera
editThe problem with the article in question is that, well... as I said in the deletion log, "notability not asserted". I'm not saying that he's not notable, but that you didn't say anything about why he was.
Simply saying that someone is a child actor... that's really not enough. And then you gave a list of roles... and they're all really minor roles... there's nothing there to say this should be an article. If you can tell me anything more about him, I'll consider restoring it. Were any of them recurring roles, for instance? Or just one-time characters?
Sorry for the delay in answering - I woke up late today. DS (talk) 15:06, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, I'll put it in your userspace. Give me a few minutes. DS (talk) 15:16, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
- Here you are; User:Ken Durham/Anthony Tavera. Let me know when it's ready, and I'll restore it to mainspace. DS (talk) 15:22, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
- By the way, please realize this can't be an indefinite thing. You do have to improve it eventually. I'd hate to come back in a few months and see that it hasn't changed at all. DS (talk) 14:34, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:NathanGamble.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:NathanGamble.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Polly (Parrot) 20:32, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:Start high school.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Start high school.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 04:10, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).
A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
- Adding
{{unblock-un|your new username here}}
on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page. - At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
- Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
- Adding
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.
