Merger proposal
As a main editor of Legende, I am calling your attention to Talk:Legend_(disambiguation)#Merger_proposal.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:11, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
One last issue related to Legend disambiguation
Since you took the time to consider the issues at Talk:Legend (disambiguation)#Merger proposal, I am hoping you might help us consider a related issue at Talk:Legends (TV series)#Call for a vote on hatnote for this page.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:58, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
- So far, about half of the people who took part in the recent merger discussion have considered this related matter and half haven't. This leaves us on the border between consensus and no consensus. It would be great if could take a moment to consider the simple matter at Talk:Legends (TV series)#Call for a vote on hatnote for this page. A few more voices should make it clear if there is a consensus opinion or not.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 00:01, 13 September 2014 (UTC)
Merging partial disambig pages
Howdy. I see you have gone ahead and merged a load of partial disambig pages; good job. Unfortunately it looks like (in some cases) you've done this without checking that the content has been merged properly. To give an example, James D. Smith was created because it had incoming links related to more than one person - here "James D. Smith, president of the New York Stock Exchange 1886 - 1888" and "James D. Smith, Comptroller of Connecticut, 1881-1882". However, the page to which this title now redirects (James Smith) doesn't mention the first of these at all.
A reasonable amount of effort went into tracking down some of these and establishing that several similarly named people were involved; can I check that you intend to merge the now missing entries please ? - TB (talk) 10:34, 28 October 2014 (UTC)
capital letter namespace
Howdy. This redirect leads to a disambiguation page - why was it moved to Capital letter in the second word? Regards, Rui ''Gabriel'' Correia (talk) 14:24, 28 October 2014 (UTC)

Wild Arabia, Wild Brazil
Greetings Ketiltrout, I was wondering whether you could create two pages for Wild Arabia TV series (2013) and Wild Brazil TV series (2014). It's because they are part of the BBC Natural History Unit's Continents strand, which all other series in the strand have pages of their own, Wild Arabia is narrated by Alexander Siddig, while Wild Brazil is narrated by Stephen Mangan. Both series have 3 episodes each. I think the website "Docuwiki" has a lot of information on each of them and also the BBC websites for them. They both aired on BBC Two. In the strand, Wild Arabia succeeds Madagascar with David Attenborough and proceeds Wild Brazil, while Wild Brazil succeeds Wild Arabia and, to my knowledge has no series yet that succeeds it. If you can create the pages or know someone who can it would be greatly appreciated by myself, if you can't do it then no worries, thanks, --Emperorofthedaleks (talk) 17:56, 22 May 2015 (UTC)

New Page Patrol?
Hi Ketiltrout,
I've recently been looking for editors to invite to join New Page Patrol, and from your editing history, I think you would be a good candidate. Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time but it requires a good understanding of Wikipedia policies and guidelines; we could use some additional help from an experienced user like yourself.
Would you please consider becoming a New Page Reviewer? (After gaining the flag, patrolling is not mandatory. One can do it at their convenience). But kindly read the tutorial before making your decision. If you choose to apply, you can drop an application over at WP:PERM/NPR.

EDO
I do not agree with what you've done. Pretty much all of the major uses are lower case (Edo, Edo State, Edo period). If you must merge them then the dab page should be at Edo (disambiguation) instead. —Xezbeth (talk) 04:56, 18 October 2018 (UTC)
- Also, why have you removed valid entries from Ego? Why are you removing descriptions? Are you by any chance using Dabfix? —Xezbeth (talk) 05:04, 18 October 2018 (UTC)
- Edo I'd support a move to Edo (disambiguation). I merged the pages into EDO because that's where Edo (disambiguation) was originally split from. Had I done it the other way, I think it would have essentially been a copy-paste move.
- Ego I found one entry (Willy William) I shouldn't have deleted. I put it back. Thanks for catching it. The only other entry I can see that I removed was the Macklemore song, which is not mentioned in the target article. Are there more? Regarding descriptions, my reading of MOSDAB is that descriptions should only be used to disambiguate otherwise ambiguous terms in the dab list. An entry like European Gravitational Observatory is self-describing and doesn't need to be further disambiguated on that page. I do not use Dabfix. Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!
Hello,
Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.
I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!
From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.
If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.
Thank you!
Straža redirect
I believe it should be redirected Straza --> Straža as most of places have that name.
Also, resulting Straža is duplicate of Straza in Wikidata. AndrejJ (talk) 08:28, 28 November 2019 (UTC)
- On the English Wikipedia, because English speakers are generally unfamiliar with diacritics, consolidating different DAB pages with variant diacritics into a single page is somewhat the norm. Among English speakers, letters like "Z" and "Ž" aren't generally considered distinct (unless the speaker is familiar with, say, Serbo-Croatian).
- But thanks for reminding me about those WikiData entries. I meant to check them but then got distracted by other matters. I believe you're correct: they are duplicates. I've done my best to merge them: I've moved EN DE and IT to wikidata:Q2289970 since that's going to be more helpful for everyone. Unfortunately, the presence of both ceb:Straza and ceb:Straža (which also appear to be duplicates) means they can't be fully merged. Cheers,—Ketil Trout (<><!) 00:29, 2 December 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Day of mourning (disambiguation)
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Day of mourning (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an orphaned disambiguation page which either
- disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
- disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
- is a redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Speedy deletion nomination of Hair of the Dog
Hello, Ketiltrout
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Hair of the Dog for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons. For more details please see the notice on the article.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!
(Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)
The article Socialist Unity (United States) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Not referenced.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ...William, is the complaint department really on the roof? 09:21, 31 October 2020 (UTC)

Hi Ketiltrout. I have reverted your edits to Wilson (surname). As a contributor to Wikipedia, I frequently come across a reference to (say) A. Wilson, who is a Queensland politician. Can I link to an existing article, or must I start a new one, even a stub. It's bad enough that many biographical articles don't make it to the indexes, without having to guess what the given name might be. Cheers, Doug butler (talk) 14:20, 20 December 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Eastern Eye
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Eastern Eye requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Eastern Eye. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
