Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Black Metal (Venom album) has been reverted.
Your edit here to Black Metal (Venom album) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline. The reference(s) you added or changed (https://www.discogs.com/Venom-Black-Metal/master/57707) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Black Metal (Venom album), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page New York. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Venom records

edit

Hi ,thanks for your contributions to improve the coverage of Venom. Please note that album titles are in italics, but song titles go in standard quotation marks – see MOS:POPMUSIC. I've corrected the formatting on "In League with Satan / Live Like an Angel" and "Bloodlust". Please also note that these articles contain a lot of what Wikipedia calls "original research" (WP:OR), which means personal opinion... for example, the claim that "In League with Satan" is the first release in the black metal genre, and your description of what the song's lyrics are about. Wikipedia does not allow personal opinion – all claims and statements must be backed up by sources that explicitly state these claims, otherwise any other editor is entitled to delete them as unproven claims. Your should also read WP:RS to understand what counts as reliable sources for use on Wikipedia – the Encyclopedia Metallum is not a valid source as it is user-provided data (so it fails WP:USERG), and Venom's official website, their social media, and any fan website or blog will also be unacceptable as not independent or unreliable. This means that "Bloodlust" only has one valid source at the moment, so it needs to be improved otherwise it may be redirected or deleted as "not notable". Thank you. Richard3120 (talk) 21:21, 25 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

As I stated above, the official Venom website is not acceptable as it is not an independent source, and Venom Collector isn't reliable either, as it's one man's fan site. The sources need to be reliable (UK newspapers or music magazines from the time, or reviews or articles in modern magazines looking back at the record), and they need to be independent from the band. Speedy deletion nomination of SfNllnVEhZ0

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on SfNllnVEhZ0, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
