Copyright violations in USB 3.0 article
editHi Keyur2808, I see that you edited the USB 3.0 article as part of your course-work in Wikipedia:India Education Program. Unfortunately, several of your edits were identified as plagiarism of other works. This is a clear violation of copyright and therefore not allowed on WP (or anywhere else). The sections "Hot Plugging" and "Electrical characteristics and power management" were therefore removed. Other copyrighted contents added by you will have to be removed as well, and I would appreciate if you would do it yourself before others will do. Thanks. --Matthiaspaul (talk) 17:44, 30 October 2011 (UTC)
The paragraph about "data bursting" was removed as well since it was a 1:1 copy of chapter 4.4.1. of the USB 3.0 standard [1] and therefore constituted a copyright violation. It was added by you on 2011-10-21.
The three paragraphs about "USB 3.0 Standard-B", "USB 3.0 Powered-B" and "USB 3.0 Micro-B" connectors were copies of chapters 5.2.1.2, 5.2.1.3, and 5.2.1.4 of the USB 3.0 standard (the first two 1:1 copies, the third one an almost 1:1 copy with minimal changes). They have been added by you on 2011-10-25.
There's still more stuff in the article that is clearly plagiarized from other sources, but increasingly difficult to remove since it is interwoven with legitimate edits by other users, nevertheless, it must be removed because copyright violations cannot be tolerated as they undermine the whole idea of the WP project and cause serious harm to this free project. Your actions have wasted many hours of other editors' precious time trying to improve and later clean up the article, which could have been better spent on adding genuinely new content to the project. Please help to remove the remaining problematic sections and refrain from ever again adding any contents which is not your own work. Any further addition of copyrighted material by you may cause you being blocked from WP. --Matthiaspaul (talk) 00:10, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
