748th Cavalry Regiment

Thank you for filling in some of these oddly numbered, high numbered ARNG regiments!! Does the numbering, you think, have anything to do with the 748th Tank Battalion? Was the 748th Tank Battalion raised from Georgia? Buckshot06 (talk) 20:24, 4 August 2017 (UTC)

According to Yeide, 748th TB (one of the American CDL units) was activated at Rucker in 1942. I have no idea about the numbering. Kges1901 (talk) 20:49, 4 August 2017 (UTC)

Searching for potential copyright violations is also important, and it can be aided by Earwig's Copyvio Detector, which can be added to your toolbar for ease of use with this user script.

No, it is not a new concept, the new combined arms armies created now don't appear to differ from those created before. Kges1901 (talk) 21:08, 26 August 2017 (UTC)

Not a new type, for information look at the Inside the Soviet Army article link, to the text of the book. Also List of Soviet armies. The new article for the 8th Guards Army (Russia) needs to be merged to the previous 8th Guards Army article - same formation with same lineage.
