What Can We Do?
editI am very sorry to hear about these incidents. My contributions to Wikipedia have been minimal and thus have encountered very few cases of hostility. A quick review to your contributions and then seeing you leave make me wonder about the future of Wikipedia. I like the Million Award project you started, and the many ways you have helped the community during your tenure here (BTW, who would continue with this project?). People with your experience, skills, tact and knowledge are not easy to come by. So, I would like to ask you about what can we do to change this unfortunate trend that has prompted your departure? I would love the world to continue benefiting from your contributions here in Wikipedia. If you can maintain your presence, even if at a lower level of activity, it would help those of us who share your beliefs and ideals. Do you think that a better oversight from administrator is possible? If so, how could we help to make this happen? Historian 08:33, 8 December 2013 (UTC)
