Sockpuppet investigation

edit

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Yanieborja, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

NFCC violations

edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at List of Philippine dramas broadcast internationally. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Please familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's key nonfree content policy documents, WP:NFC and WP:NFCC. Adding scores of nonfree images to simple list articles indisputably violates those policies, and doing so without adding article-specific use rationales to each file page involved shows no meaningful intent to comply with those policies. With NFCC violations as pervasive as these, you leave other editors no real choice but to revert your actions in their entirety, even if some acceptable content may be lost. If you continue to attempt to restore such impermissible content, it is likely that your editing privileges will be suspended. Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution

edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Reply 1994 into Reply (TV series). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 12:18, 15 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Miss Universe category

edit

Hello, Khendygirl. I noticed that you recently added an "all included" template to Category:Miss Universe contestants and have followed this by placing a large number of articles into the category even when they have already been placed in a year-specific category. This strikes me as a violation of the WP:SUBCAT guidance and one that has the potential of affecting a very large number of articles. If you believe that your unilateral decision is an improvement to the category system, I invite you to initiate a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Categorization. In the meantime, I ask that you stop adding these categories and to revert the additions that you've already performed. NewYorkActuary (talk) 19:10, 13 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Circular references

edit

Thanks for contributing to the article List of Ateneo de Manila University people. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Most mirrors are clearly labeled as such, but some are in violation of our license and do not provide the correct attribution. Please help by adding alternate sources to the article you edited! Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Law of the Jungle cast members

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Category:Law of the Jungle cast members, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Arthdal Chronicles, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kim Ji-won (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Speedy deletion nomination of Nicole Cordoves

edit

Hello, Khendygirl

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Nicole Cordoves for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons. For more details please see the notice on the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

A tag has been placed on Category:Miss International 1963 delegates requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.   Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! —It'sCtrlwikitalk07:10, 11 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

CJ Perez

edit

Stop adding that category. Concensus across basketball articles to only add the category of the team (say Cat:Ateneo Blue Eagles players) once the player played an official game. Played does not include being on the practice team or included in the game roster but did not enter the game. Perez only played on pocket/minor/pre-season tournaments. He never played in the UAAP. If you want a change on this, make a discussion on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Basketball. Thanks. Engr. Smitty Werben 17:04, 11 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

See for example Kai Sotto. He signed with the G League Ignite. He practiced and played scrimmages with the Ignite. But he never played an official game with the Ignite. So the Ignite is not included in his infobox. The category G League Ignite players is not also added to his article. Engr. Smitty Werben 17:08, 11 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Glitch

edit

Hello @Khendygirl, why do you insist on removing the red links around Gin Han-sai's name on the Glitch (South Korean TV series) page? The first time you did it, I reverted you, asking in my edit summary that you explain your reasoning. You just went ahead and did it again, and once more didn't bother to add an edit summary. This is not only unprofessional, but also constitutes edit warring. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 15:17, 30 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Why put the link when there is no article connected to the link? If you do not want me to remove it then create an article connected to it. Khendygirl (talk) 20:32, 30 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Red links, as per WP:Red link, exist in order to encourage users to create a new page. Unless you have a strong reason to believe that no article is likely to be created for that topic, please leave the red link in place. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 21:00, 30 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi, curious why you removed the interlanguage links on 1st Republic (TV series). There's no rule against having them, and some of the topics/people linked are genuinely important.

They're not excessive on that page either. I was wondering if you knew of some manual of style or wikipedia policy that discourages this, but otherwise my understanding is that they're more than fine. toobigtokale (talk) 00:53, 14 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to List of Korean dramas. Hi @Khendygirl, I recently reverted two edits you made on the Kang Soo-yeon page. They didn't appear constructive/necessary, and besides, you failed to include an edit summary. When I glance at your list of contributions, I can see that you are not in the habit of leaving edit summaries, which is problematic. Edit summaries are important for other editors to understand the nature of the changes you make on a page. More importantly, they are not optional. WP requires editors to leave summaries for all their edits as part of its policies and guidelines. Please familiarize yourself with these and do your best to adhere to them. Thanks!
