editHello, I'm Karl 334. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Kim McQuilken , but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Karl 334 Talk--Contribs 17:36, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- I am Kim McQuilken and I am trying to update this page. All the changes are mine. How do I reference that so that they can be published? Kimmcq (talk) 17:41, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- If you are the person who is the subject in the article, you should not edit the page as per WP:COISELF Karl 334 Talk--Contribs 17:46, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, Kim McQuilken. As a general rule, Wikipedia requires sourcing all statements about living people to reliable sources. Since we have no way of verifying your identity, we cannot just accept your word. A news article or a magazine with the correct middle name would suffice. If you can provide a link, I should be able to update it. I'd recommend reading this guideline about what to do if there's an error in the article about you.
