Hello, I'm Zefr. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, Intermittent fasting, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.   Please do not add or change content, as you did at Intermittent fasting, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Please read WP:MEDRS for the quality of citations needed. Zefr (talk) 16:37, 9 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Intermittent fasting, you may be blocked from editing. Please read WP:MEDRS. Your content is incorrect and your sources are insufficient to use. Zefr (talk) 15:50, 11 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Intermittent fasting

edit

Hello. My reverts of your entries, such as this one, were to avoid use of commercial spam sources, like the Gale reference you used. The language in your edit, such as "Intermittent fasting has been shown to reduce inflammation, lower blood glucose levels and blood pressure, lower total cholesterol levels and triglyceride, and reducing body fat while sparing lean muscle tissue," is non-factual, promotional, and exaggerated. Such a statement would require a systematic review by clinical experts summarizing clinical trials that showed fasting had these effects; no such source exists. In Wikipedia, fasting is a medical topic, as it concerns energy intake and a generalized effect on physiology and clinical conditions, therefore requiring a high standard of sources described in WP:MEDRS -- the source guideline for choosing references on medical topics. Here is a tutorial that may further help you and your student colleagues understand and choose high-quality sources. Good luck. --Zefr (talk) 16:22, 23 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Your suggested literature:
They are all valid sources, but I sense have considerable overlap, so you'll have to be selective. For the Mattson sources, there are already four used in the article, with overlap among them. --Zefr (talk) 15:47, 25 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
