(1) All material of the site www.israelshamir.net is not copyrighted, explicitly it is open for quotations. (2) Moreover, what I did is just update of the previous quote which is marked clearly as a quote from the site. Why it is ok to carry a quote from the saame site and it is not ok to update this quote? (3) I propose that RolandR will exclude himself from editing this text, as he seems to be personally involved in some vendetta with the subject of the item. Such personal involvement is POV. I would also propose that RolandR will remove himself a quote from himself in the body of the item, as it is a POV that has no intristic value. (4) Failing that I propose to pass it for the arbitrage of Wikipedia. Kingfisher12 (talk) 10:46, 23 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
Where do you get the impression that material on Shamir's site is open for quotations? And even if it is, you did not quote it; you copied it and pasted it as your own work. If the edit is not a copyright violation, it is plagiarism, which is also forbidden on Wikipedia. By inserting a huge chunk of Shamir's own text, you in fact enabled him to write his own autobiography, a practice which is "strongly discouraged".
Since I did not introduce the reference to my own article, and in fact it was introduced long before I ever edited Wikipedia, I see no reason that I, or indeed anyone else, should remove it. RolandR (talk) 11:30, 23 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

If you're Israel Shamir

edit

then you have a conflict of interest and should at the very least declare it. Are you Israel Shamir? 174.91.172.118 (talk) 14:41, 7 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sock puppet accusations

edit

Please do not make accusations of sock puppetry on article talk pages. If you suspect other editors are using sock accounts, then use the WP:SPI process to ask for an independent investigation. If you were referring to me, then I would appreciate an explanation or at least a clear accusation. Thanks (talk) 22:13, 11 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
