Invertebrate categorisation
I am unenthusiastic about your recent additions to the categories for invertebrates. Recent discussions concluded that politically-based distinctions are irrelevant to biota (Category:… by country), and that only purely geographical categories should be used (Category:… by geography). Similarly, Category:Invertebrates is redundant to Category:Animals, which already contains a Category:Vertebrates (within Category:Chordates) for all the remainder. How far were you planning to go with this system? --Stemonitis 13:25, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
I didn't realise it was controversial, I found an existing example & thought I'd expand it. Sorry if this caused problems. I've undone the changes I could. Kiore 07:35, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- That's no problem. Practices at Wikipedia have developed over years and it can be a struggle to find out why certain things are done. I've made the few changes that you couldn't. And thatnks for fixing my syntax in the message above! --Stemonitis 07:51, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Image:Babydoll.jpg
A tag has been placed on Image:Babydoll.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Babydoll.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Austrian Civil War
Informative little edit you pulled in Godwin Brumowski. I never before knew there had been an Austrian Civil War. More proof that Wikipedia will teach you while you are educating others. Thanks.

- Thanks, but I feel the compliment is undeserved. The reference was already there, I just searched for the meaning of the text in front of me and made a wikilink. Until then I'd never heard of the Austrian Civil War either. Kiore (talk) 07:08, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
