Kkopelson
lack of a page on sexuality studies.
editi might suggest, if you find time, authoring the page on sexuality studies, as gender studies is the closest thing at present in the wiki... kjtaylor 02:22, 14 September 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Karljtaylor (talk • contribs)
Welcome
editHello, Kkopelson, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I notice that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been reverted for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of deletion, you might like to draft your article before submission, then ask me or any other editor to proofread it. To start creating a draft article, just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit that page as you would any other. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
The one firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. It is also worth noting that Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which specifically link them to one company or corporation. If your username does have such a name, it would be advisable for you to request a change of username.
If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! You can also just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! MarB4 •ɯɒɹ• 19:40, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, Kkopelson. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Kevin Kopelson, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 20:37, 29 September 2018 (UTC)

editPlease do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Kevin Kopelson. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 15:21, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
Please stop removing maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Kevin Kopelson, without resolving the problem that the template refers to. This may be considered disruptive editing. Further edits of this type may result in your account being blocked from editing. Toddst1 (talk) 15:22, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
Hello there
editHi, it seems that you might be the subject of one of our articles and are displeased with some of the contents. See Wikipedia:Contact us/Article problem/Factual error (from subject) for a general overview of ways to get problems fixed (as well as an email address). You can also mention specific problems on Talk:Kevin Kopelson if you want specific mistakes corrected.
The email address is info-en-q@wikimedia.org. The first thing you might be asked to do is to privately establish your identity.
Your attempt to nominate the article for deletion was not complete and was reverted. If you wish to pursue deletion via that channel (not recommended), please follow the instructions at WP:AFD. Toddst1 (talk) 01:07, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
The article Kevin Kopelson has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
SubjectDoesNotMeetNotabilityGuidelines
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ==
I, Kevin Kopelson, am the article subject. I regard myself as a non-notable, private person. I therefore want the article to be deleted. Kkopelson (talk) 19:19, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
