AT service provider article

edit

Archived Helpme request - Would the posting at the end of this talk page FINALLY meet Wikipedia's requirements? It might help that since my earlier posts, I've found a Wikipedia entry for RESNA (which the Wikipedia sysadmins previously deemed not noteworthy and not a reliable source). Anyway, feedback would be appreciated. The new spin in the article would also mean changing the title to Assistive technology service providers. I've tried to model it off the Rehabilitation counseling entry.... Kmilchus 04:01, 12 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I think that looks excellent. [Mac Δαvιs]04:51, 12 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
As a note, please when you title the article, the second word should not be capitalized, per Wikipedia:Naming conventions [Mac Δαvιs]04:56, 12 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yes, that's very much acceptable. Yes, it is more work-- but the end result does pay off, does it not? I'm confident if you place that article up, nobody will tag it for deletion.  :-) Coren 05:37, 12 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Good work

edit

Hey, good work with the Assistive technology service provider article. Don't get disheartened by the initial rejections; we were all new once, and sometimes the notability and style guidelines are a little overwhelming. Remember we're all working to make a good encyclopedia, and while it's a lot of work, it's also very rewarding. Coren 15:30, 12 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unfortunately, it is a bit TOO overwhelming. After I add some cross-links, I think I'm going to leave Wikipedia and just go back to monitoring our ATWiki, where our biggest issue is people who like to post blank pages with the hope that someone will fill them in eventually.

On that note, I leave this message for future AT specialists who may try to edit here. Wikipedia seems to be much more forgiving of added external links than with the creation of new pages. Thus, please note that there is already a nice assistive technology category, and entries for RESNA (Thanks Kay!), CRERO, and NIDRR on this site. Consider figuring out a way to add to those pages rather than starting a new page. Kmilchus 15:48, 12 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
