Sally Jewell
Hello, Knope7. This is a courtesy notice that the copy edit you requested for Sally Jewell at the Guild of Copy Editors requests page is now complete. All feedback welcome! – Corinne (talk) 01:11, 4 December 2016 (UTC) |
Hello, Knope -- You will see that I have completed the copy-edit you requested at Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Requests. It was an interesting article. Since external links are not normally allowed in the main part of an article, I moved the link of the Women in Conservation Rachel Carson Award to the list of external links at the bottom of the article. However, I wasn't exactly sure how it should look, so you may want to work on that. Perhaps add "Women in Conservation" right before the closing square bracket? – Corinne (talk) 01:14, 4 December 2016 (UTC)
- @Corinne:, thank you for taking the time to copy edit Sally Jewell! I appreciate your time and effort. I am so glad the Guild of Copy Editors exists to offer this valuable help. Knope7 (talk) 18:29, 4 December 2016 (UTC)

Cleveland Pools GA review
Thanks for taking on the GA review of Cleveland Pools. I noticed you moved the standard review page to Draft:Cleveland Pools/GA1 and I was wondering if you had found time to take a look at it?— Rod talk 17:36, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
- @Rodw: sorry but I changed my mind about the review. The British English/American English differences were more of a barrier than I initially thought. Knope7 (talk) 00:29, 31 December 2016 (UTC)
- OK but is it possible to remove the review page you started as, on the list at Wikipedia:Good article nominations#Art and architecture other potential reviewers may think a review is in progress, and therefore not start it. I'm not sure of the best way to do this - would you like me to ask at Wikipedia talk:Good article nominations to see if someone can help?— Rod talk 08:52, 31 December 2016 (UTC)
- @Rodw:The review page was never listed on the GA Nomination page so no reviewer would have thought the article was claimed. Still, to be cautious I removed any link to Cleveland Pools and added a statement that the review was abandoned. Knope7 (talk) 17:09, 31 December 2016 (UTC)
- Because the process was started a bot changes its status at GAN. If you look at Wikipedia:Good article nominations#Art and architecture it says "discuss review" rather than "start review" which indicates it is "in progress". I have seen this problem before when someone has take on a review and then realised, for one reason or another, that they can not complete it. I can't remember how to fix it.— Rod talk 17:23, 31 December 2016 (UTC)
- @Rodw: I have tagged the review page for Speedy deletion. I hope that takes care of it. I am sorry for any confusion. Knope7 (talk) 17:46, 31 December 2016 (UTC)
- I've put a note at Wikipedia talk:Good article nominations#Reviewer has resigned to ask for help.— Rod talk 17:55, 31 December 2016 (UTC)
- @Rodw: the page has already been deleted and the entry on the nominations page says "start review" again. Knope7 (talk) 18:19, 31 December 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks - now resolved. Sorry for the hassles & if you ever need help with British English let me know.— Rod talk 18:23, 31 December 2016 (UTC)
