Citations are required when inserting new statements that may be challenged

edit

Hi! I noticed your recent changes to China and Altaic languages. Though the changes made may represent statements that contain the ideas represented in scholarly works, citations are required if those statements may be challenged; when changing content of text that is cited, see Wikipedia:Citing sources#Text–source integrity. I have reverted two of your edits rather than adding the references myself since I see that you have added references to some of your recent additions and likely know the subject and reference materials better than I. If I can be of help, please add a reply to this message or on my talk page. The more citations provided (within reason), the smoother Wikipedia works (for editors and users). — User:Neonorange Phil 23:14, 18 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Worldwide Cantonese conference

edit

The article Worldwide Cantonese conference has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not a notable topic. Was repeatedly inserted into Cantonese people against consensus, makes even less sense as a standalone article. Conferences are organised and run around the world on every subject imaginable, they don’t deserve an article unless they are especially noteworthy.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
