Hello,

I'd appreciate it if you wrote me in English; transliterated Malayalam is hard to read. There is no agenda in the article. I know that it hurts to ego to say that Nairs were considered "Sudras". However, this is a fact. That doesn't in any way make Nairs any less of who or what they are. It's all perception. --vi5in[talk] 20:25, 17 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I think the following translation is more accurate:

'If the Nairs don't like it, why are you calling them "Sudra" or "Savarna Sudra" or "Thrivarna Pathaaka"? Don't you have any other job? As it is, Nairs and Nambiars aren't doing so well these days. On top of that there is this "encyclopedia" of yours. What else can I say? Do whatever you want. But don't play around with Christians or Muslims. You might not be happy with the consequences.'

I am fluent in Malayalam. It's just that transliterated Malayalam is harder to read. Secondly, I stand by my original points. Wikipedia is not here to bruise egos or put anyone down. I understand that Caste is still a sensitive issue in India. So whatever may be the case, why should we ignore facts? --vi5in[talk] 05:40, 18 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Incivility

edit

Wikipedia has a policy condemning personal attacks against fellow editors. Comment on content and not the contributor. Your edits on the Ezhava talk page are uncivil. Please discuss any issues regarding the article amicably. Continuing to violate Wikipedia policy can get you blocked from editing.--thunderboltz(TALK) 06:02, 1 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Also, as Vivin already pointed out, please make your comments in English, and not transliterated Malayalam. This is the English Wikipedia, afterall.--thunderboltz(TALK) 06:04, 1 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
