editHello, I'm Jaellee. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Gerald Asamoah, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --Jaellee (talk) 17:52, 30 May 2020 (UTC)

editPlease do not add or change content, as you did at Mehmet Ekici, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. --Jaellee (talk) 17:02, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks four your message! I added those categories because they all were born in Germany and spent pretty much their entire childhood and lifes here. So I thought being “Turkish with German descent” is the best of describing this. But not sure if it’s right. If not, it can obviously be excluded. Greetings —Koelnfan (talk) 14:21, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
- The same issue is observed in Kingsley Ehizibue. I reverted your vandalism again, you hab been given at least two hints [1][2] that cannot be misunderstood. Note: suspected Cross-wiki vandalism, user frequently vandalises in this manner in German WP as well. --Roger (talk) 20:35, 1 November 2020 (UTC) - Further note: User has added wrong categories in even more articles in enWP in the past. --Roger (talk) 20:50, 1 November 2020 (UTC)
- Don’t call my work vandalism because you’re the one who is practicing vandalism the whole time!
- In fact, Kingsley was born (!) in Germany and raised in the Netherlands (!)! So he basically has NOTHING to do with Nigeria in the first place which makes him somehow “of German and Dutch descent”! Sounds weird but is reality! I give you a personal clue: Discuss objectively and listen to other people instead of destroying other peoples work and motivation! That’s what you’re doing!—Koelnfan (talk) 22:27, 1 November 2020 (UTC)

"Vandalism"
editHi Koelnfan,
thank you very much for the report at WP:AIV.
I'm concerned about the liberal usage of the word "vandalism" to describe the behavior of a disagreeing user. Vandalism is intentional, malicious disruption. Even if someone's reverts are disruptive and/or edit warring, the term "vandalism" is unlikely to be appropriate. The disagreeing user tries to improve the encyclopedia too, and personal attacks make it hard to find a consensus.
The report has been removed for now; see Wikipedia:Dispute resolution for advice and create a report at the edit warring noticeboard if really necessary. As it requires multiple people to edit war, please consider discussing instead of reverting again. The essay WP:DISCFAIL might be useful.
Best regards,

Warum z.B. ist beim italienische Fußballer Simone Perotta die Angabe „English people of Italian descent“ drinnen?

editRe: Russian nationalists
editBecause attending a patriotic event doesn't mean you are a "nationalist". In Russia there are hundreds of nationalities, and those people are not always Russians. Until you don't provide a reliable source that confirms they are really nationalists, your edits are blatantly false.--User:Tomcat7 (talk) 14:21, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- Stop adding fake and controversial categories. How is Sergey Sobyanin a nationalist, if he is a Mansi? That doesn't really makse sense. What you do is adding fake claims, i.e. vandalising articles.--User:Tomcat7 (talk) 14:28, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- Wow, what an argumentation. It is not just a “patriotic event”; it is a propaganda-show that actively justifies and even promotes an ONGOING WAR using argumentation on an almost conspiratorial (Ukraine run by drug-addicted Nazis or American puppets etc.) level. WAR! In Europe! In 2022!
- I do not know if you are not aware of this consequence, but the last time “patriotic events” like this one took place in Europe when guys like Adolf Hitler were still in power. Mentioning Sergey Sobyanin for being Mansi and therefore not being able to be a nationalist is not an argument. You could even be a Russian of American descent and still support the war-crimes committed at innocent Ukrainian civilians which would definitely make you some kind of nationalist.
- Because I still wait for your arguments, I‘m asking again: What else does it need to be called a „nationalist“, if participating in SUCH an event is not enough?—Koelnfan (talk) 15:48, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- Edit: Oxford says this about a nationalist:”a person who strongly identifies with their own nation and vigorously supports its interests, especially to the exclusion or detriment of the interests of other nations.”(Source: oxfordify.com) Now tell me, how does this not fit for the people we are talking about?—Koelnfan (talk) 15:56, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
Categories and biographies of living persons
editHello Koelnfan, my name is Modussiccandi and I'm an administrator on the English-language Wikipedia. I noticed that you've encountered some resistance to categories you've added to articles. May I remind you that categories on this version of Wikipedia are subject to the same verifiability criteria as the content of articles (per WP:CATVER)? This means that our decision to add pages to categories must be based on verifiable information present in the article. To give you one example: you added Salih Özcan to the 'Turkish expatriate sportspeople in Germany' category. However, the article says that Özcan was born in Germany (an easily verifiable fact), suggesting that this is his home country. In general, it is always best to tread cautiously around biographies of living persons. My recommendation would be to only add categories to such pages if there is consensus among editors to do so and, as I said, the information is verifiable. Thank you and happy editing, Modussiccandi (talk) 19:19, 4 April 2022 (UTC)
