Koreanjason~enwiki
Hi Koreanjason,
I didn't want to pile on in public, so I thought I'd leave a note for you here. I'm not an admin, I don't know User:Y, and I think calling someone a racist is a low blow (it's happened to me, and it's insulting). So I hope you'll take this as the opinion of someone who doesn't "support the cabal", so to speak.
It's clear to pretty much everyone involved in that thread that User:Y wasn't calling User:Be best as racist; he was making a somewhat sarcastic, somewhat tongue-in-cheek remark that you misinterpreted. Instead of assuming that all the admins are closing ranks around one of their own, please consider the possibility, at least, that you simply misread his intentions, and ask yourself, is the likelihood that you're right about this high enough that it's worth the 8 hours of arguement that you've put into it? Doesn't it seem likely that if this was really racist, someone would have come along to agree with you by now?
My advice is to let it drop, and go back to editing. It's stressing you out, it's causing some people to be more rude to you than you deserve, and it really is a mountain out of a molehill.
thanks for listening. --barneca (talk) 18:23, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
- (reply to your comment on my talk page) OK, But just so you know, as an outside observer, I don't see Y accusing Be best of racism. I'm not suggesting you drop it because you're unpopular, or likely to get blocked, or something. I'm suggesting you drop it because you should consider the possiblity that you've misinterpreted Y's remarks, and that you could, in fact, be wrong about this.
- Other people's rudeness is, indeed, their problem, but I think it's fueled by their frustration that you won't accept that possibility.
- Well, I've said my piece, I'll leave you to whatever you think is right. Here's hoping you can get back to enjoying editing sometime soon. --barneca (talk) 18:39, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Revision of Saturday Night Live Cast page
editKoreanjason, if you're going to undo an edit, then leave some sort of a justification on the talk page of the article. I've been sinking a lot of time into SNL, and all its related sub-articles, with most of it spent clearing up the excess fluff that is littering them. I've left my justification on the talk page, and I would encourage you to do the same. If you feel that I am being unbiased in my decision, then for all means get an admin to help adjudicate. Just know that I will not go down without a fight.Mainly.generic (talk) 06:33, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

Your account will be renamed
editHello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Koreanjason. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Koreanjason~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
