Evangelion: The Birthday of Rei Ayanami (エヴァンゲリオン THE BIRTHDAY OF Rei AYANAMI, Evangerion: THE BIRTHDAY OF Rei AYANAMI) is the twelfth music album released relating to the Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise. As its title indicates, its focus is Rei Ayanami, one of the three primary protagonists of Neon Genesis Evangelion. The album features background music and instrumental tracks related to Rei's appearances in the Neon Genesis Evangelion TV series and movies, and vocal tracks by her seiyu, Megumi Hayashibara, for the "Rei Ayanami versions" of certain songs related to Neon Genesis Evangelion. The Birthday of Rei Ayanami was released on March 30, 2001 in Japan by King Records, Hayashibara's 34th birthday. Rei Ayanami's "official" fictional birth date however, is unclear.. The Birthday of Rei Ayanami has only been released in Japan.

The album cover features an illustration by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, the character designer for the series. The CD itself depicts the front portion of Rei's plug suit bearing the inscription 00, which refers to her designated Evangelion, Unit 00.

at the moment no, I'm just organizing the article. after the rough draft is finalized i look for additional sources and refs for each. even though it's not going to happen at the moment, doesnt mean it's not going to happen at all. i'll look for more sources after i format every track list and add it here, right now NGE:S2 works is what takes most of my time, if someone could help me format them, that would be a great time saver.Bread Ninja (talk) 17:54, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

Question 1: How do you want to organize the article?

First by series, second by Compilations and third by Other. though one question, why is the title A Cruel Angel's Thesis Even though the single is called Neon Genesis Evangelion: Fly me to the Moon. Shouldn't there be more mention of Fly me to the Moon in that article?

I like the format that the list is in right now; coupla questions. Are the album covers going to be included or not? Do you want to have the track listings in a format that can be hidden/shown, as in the FFVII article's lists? Willbyr (talk | contribs) 20:13, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

• Manual of Style won't allow multiple singles and albums covers inside a list of soundtrack or discography. That why some fans prefer one article per single & album so they can have plenty CD covers disregarding notability issue.
• Hidden/Shown was frowned upon by FL reviewers during Popotan FL review due to accessibility issue. Then again Music of Final Fantasy XYZ can get GA without raising that issue.
• All CDs are sourced in the above section with reference to Oricon database those information include basic release information, list of tracks, composer, arranger, lyricist (if applicable) of each tracks and charts information: best ranking, number of week in the charts and periods it charted. What is missing is tracks lengths and sells raw numbers. --KrebMarkt 20:31, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

List of Popotan soundtracks does not show refs on there tracklist except on one. not so sure if they had them there before, but if the track lists contains refs, i don't think that would be against WP:ACCESS because a reader can still access the information even though they cant get it directly from the article.Bread Ninja (talk) 16:08, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

I'm a bit concern about adding infoboxes in the article. Music of the Final Fantasy VII series was able to get GA without them, so should be have Infoboxes for each section or not?

I was thinking if we were to add infoboxes, we would merge some together, like some relating to the same series. and if we weren't going to add infoboxes, then we just move the information on to the opening paragraph. any thoughts on how to approach this?Bread Ninja (talk) 16:50, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

To have a separate album or single article: WP:NALBUMS
