While on vacation in Los Angeles, she got scouted in a MAC Make up store and immediately got signed by her first agency, Ford Models. Before relocating to the United States to enhance her modeling career, Hoppe completed a hairdressing apprenticeship and graduated top of her class. She has remained with them for 4 years before moving with her then head booker to a different agency.
