Unfortunately, scholars have left us no choice but to express our opinions on the meaning of the Gospel of Judas, since they have no clue what it is about. I do this full time, and none of them wants to hear from a modern, practicing Gnostic like myself. I know, because I have tried. 'Judas' is a fictional character, both here and in the Bible, standing-in for James the Just. The real story is fascinating. I'll have a book out soon on it. I have another self-published on saviors in the Bible. Dr. Robert Eisenman is the only scholar who knows anything useful among scholars on the New Testament.
