On The Argumentative Indian I noticed a change you made here. While Amartya Sen can easily be defined a sympathetic to the left, a proper source needs to be found for all such allegations, otherwise it violates WP:OR.Bakaman 16:41, 19 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Guidance

edit

Hello, I noticed that some recent edits that you made to The Argumentative Indian were reverted. I just wanted to explain the reason so that you can continue to make contributions to Wikipedia that will improve the aritcles. The reason that these edits were reverted was because you didn't provide a citation to a reliable source that has previously published the information that you wanted to add (see WP:Reliable sources). If this is done, and the information is written in Wikipedia maintaining a neutral point of view, it is likely that it will remain as informative, encyclopedic information. POV Insertion

edit

Please don't insert uncited personal commentary on wikipedia as you did here and in many other of your edits. Note that, adding criticism is perfectly fine, but it has to be attributed to published and well-regarded sources and cannot simply represent an editor's personal opinions on the topic. I recommend that you review wikipedia's policies on neutral point of view and reliable sources. Abecedare 00:09, 11 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I see you have had trouble with your edits so far on Wikipedia. WP is not a place to pass on information, even if you know it is true. It is a place to report information that you can provide a citation for. Unless you can provide a citation fot any further edits, and can show that your edits respect WIkipedia policy, particularly WP:OR, and WP:NPOV, you will continue to be reverted near-instantly, and this will be a waste of your time as well as ours.   Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Amartya Sen. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. CRETOG8(t/c) 04:43, 23 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
