comment from 69.158.107.32
Kukini - Re: 69.158.107.32 talk page - you said that you can't delete an IP address. You're correct, but I think you're able to delete the talk page (or maybe clear it so that there is no history?). This normally wouldn't bother me so much, but I keep on getting a "You have new messages" at the top of every page, and my IP address is dynamic (so the next guy will also get that message). Also - no need to welcome me to Wikipedia, I already have a username, this whole problem arose from me blanking my user talk page without logging in (oops). If you could figure out how to solve this, I would appreciate it. Thanks, --69.158.107.32 23:22, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
69.158.107.32 Talk Page
Thanks, I'll keep that info in mind. For now it would be great if you could get rid of that talk page, for the reasons mentioned in the last post. 69.158.107.32 23:31, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- I see no reason to blank an IP with very recent warnings regarding vandalism at this point. Go on and sign in and the notices will not show up from your IP. --Kukini 23:33, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- The issue is not with being signed on or not. I simply wish to be able to surf Wikipedia (without being logged in) without getting these messages. Also, please do not refer to it as vandalism - all I did was try to edit my own user talk page. The edits since then have been made anonymously simply to show that I am the one with this IP address. DanielGross 23:45, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Daniel. Let me help clarify. If the IP in question only belongs to you, then if you never edit from it again, you will very likely never get another message in it. If others use it also, messages are quite likely at that IP address talk page. Me or you blanking the talk page will not solve this issue. As the IP exists and is not blocked, the IP talk page will continue to exist as well. I recommend not worrying about it too much and just not editing from the IP. I actually never edit from mine, and nobody else uses it, thus no messages unless signed in. I hope this helps. Happy surfing and editing, --Kukini 00:05, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your understanding. The issue is not just with the "new message", but also about privacy. I feel uncomfortable with the fact that my username can be tracked to my IP address (from that talk page). I guess it won't be such a big deal if you can't do anything about that page, but it would be great if you could. Thanks for your help, DanielGross 00:11, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- I meant the IP # talk page. As you can see, my username is right at the top of the page. (Sorry for being unclear again) DanielGross 00:19, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi.
I think there is a fine line on what is a reference and what is a link. In an AfD, I have found that people don't seem to recognize the outside links as support for the article's notability. I would prefer to call the footnotes "footnotes", may be we could call the others a bibliography.
--Kevin Murray 00:10, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
Yes, thanks. I will put some of the links into footnotes. Clearly some people blow through the AfDwithout paying much attention and tend to gang-up with the prevailing opinions. --Kevin Murray 00:18, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

216.120.146.60
216.120.146.60 has been making a run of vandalism since, from the look of it, his ban was uplifted. I first noticed this on the Current Events page, and then went through his edits since it seems his ban was lifted on January 9th to correct any previous vandalism.
I saw that you were the one who previously banned him, so I thought it would be best to warn you about this. Fephisto 06:42, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

If a user has only engaged in vandalism and then vandalizes the blocking page asking to be blocked, you don't need to bother giving them a test4. Just indef block them. JoshuaZ 03:15, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
Nice Work
Good job with the Laura Bush vandalizing...it was gone five seconds after I realized it was there. dool325 04:15, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
It seems that when someone gets baned for vandalism, the same individual goes right back to work vandalizing again as soon as the ban is lifted. I saw this individual's history, and apparently he doens't care one way or the other, and he wants the block removed. In my humble opinion, I'd say no to that for a good long time. How did you know?
Hi! Thanks for correcting and editing my article on Milpitas Christian School. I was just wondering, but how did you know the details about the chapels at MCS? I just created this article about an hour ago, and was surprised to see that someone knew so much about our school. Thank you. (Mcser 20:52, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- Was your above question regarding the removal of the word "American" intended as humor? I hope you don't take offense to others editing in articles you start. It is the very nature of wikipedia that we all are editors of any and all articles. --Kukini 16:56, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- No I was just trying to be specific when I said "American", but I agree that it was unecessary. My question meant how did you know that our school's chapels were held in the cafeteria and the library?(Mcser 20:52, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
I didn't intend for that last edit to be vandalism
"Any good-faith effort to improve the encyclopedia, even if misguided or ill-considered, is not vandalism." From Vandalism. You can push your vandalism count back down to 34.
I'm starting work on the Hawaiian wiki, and I just noticed that your name translation on your user page is inaccurate. It should be preceded with "ke" or "ka" whenever you use it in a sentence to be grammatically correct. (you can see the kukini page on wikipedia for the UH Manoa newsletter title that follows that usage.) Also, the translation you have up is pretty piecemeal and sounds harsh to hawaiian speakers, kinda like pulling bits and pieces together of various translations into one hodgepodge one. Check out Hawaiian Dictionary for more information. Just trying to promote a more wholesome understanding of Hawaiian culture in daily life.
Anyway, enjoy. ~ Nainoa Amina Maunakea 17:17, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, although I am not using it as a proper noun, but instead as a name, or handle on wikipedia. Best, --Kukini 17:30, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Stubs
I would suggest you take a look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Stub types before placing a stub on a page like the one you put on Climacophobia. It is really nice to have sepcific stubs so people interested in improving those areas know there are articles to do. Thanks. --Tainter 01:15, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- I find that unsorted stubbing is shortly followed by other editors that are engaged in stub sorting. But thanks, --Kukini 04:00, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
What's the problem?
I noticed I received a message from you, complaining about me editing MY user account. They're not test edits, I just don't always login and make my edits under my regular account. I am actually User:Abog. I guess I will make that clarification on the talk page for this IP address, so I don't get any more of these crazy messages from people thinking I'm a newbie, vandal, or sockpuppet. 131.156.238.75 09:00, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, it's not a shared IP. That's a misconception. Unless I change residence, it will only be me making edits on this IP. 131.156.238.75 19:19, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, it is in fact me. I just want to be up front and put it out there that my username and the above IP are one and the same person. Abog 19:40, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
deleting my own comment isn't ok?
Kukini - I am responding to your note saying:
Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed content from an article. Please be more careful when editing articles and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason, which should be specified in the edit summary. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. --Kukini 01:25, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
I added a comment to the discussion page of an article. I then thought better of my comment and deleted it. This is objectionable?
Ripraprun 21:57, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- Kukini - You sent me the above comment before I had created the 'Ripraprun' profile. Hence it was to my ip of: 24.10.31.70. I had made and then deleted a comment on the Alain Prost discussion page. Ripraprun 22:37, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
non-notable Chicoans
Well, I can't really argue with most of this:
- Rob Blair -- Tv news anchor. He's only included because there is a wikipedia entry on him.
- Tracy Chapman -- Did live in Chico briefly, but I don't have any good verification.
- Munk One -- Only included because there was a wikipedia entry on him at one time.
- Bernie Richter, County Supervisor, State Senator. Notable for being a precipitating factor in the affirmative action issue. Other than that he's only notable on the state level.
However,
- Big Poppa E, slam poet. Why leave him in and even clarify the entry? I'd say Blair is a more notable Chicoan (i.e. not very).
- Grant Ermis, Mr. Gay USA 2007 -- I would think a national office would qualify one as notable. I think we should revert this one.
Thanks for your work.

Warning vandals
Hello, I warn them only when I see that a few quick reverts aren't enough to cool them down, most of the time I find it useless to warn them before the third or fourth time they vandalize an article, let's say it's my way not to bite the newcomers. I let the kids have fun for a while, if they become to difficult to handle or if they use subtle ways to vandalize pages, I follow the warning procedure (even if that means letting the vandal do more damage while doing so). Regards - Myanw 19:35, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
PS: mmmm I might sound a bit rude to you, believe me, it's not the case, it's just the way I (poorly, I know) write English, thanks for the heads-up anyway - Myanw 19:35, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
Hehe, actually, it seems you made me think about the "warning vandals policy", I warned quite a few "kids" today, mmm must be getting old or something :-D - Myanw 23:20, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
Dear Kukini,
I've updated and tried to reformat the Jonathan Nossiter biography but I remain unclear how to eliminate the style faults and the lack of citations that may still be attached to the page. Can you please tell me what and how to remedy any outstanding errors if there are any? And can you please tell me how to add a photograph?
p.s. I'm an assistant to Jonathan Nossiter at Goatworks Films and therefore have access to information and photos directly. Will I be challenged for posting a photograph form our archives (and other info)or is it sufficient to cite Goatworks Films Archives as the source? Thank you Karine at Miranda12
Sorry, I left a message on your "comment" page, but I think that was the wrong place, so I am trying again. I am seeking your help too protect the Hawaii Championship Wrestling page that someone keeps trying to say that it is a Non notable wrestling promotion, with no third party sources, (fails WP:CORP), and keeps trying to get it deleted, on wrongful grounds. The unbiased article is not self promoting with third party sources, so all I can think of is that the person who is requesting the deletion just isn't a fan of Hawaiian pro wrestling, and his motives has nothing to do with the stated reasons for deletion.
You have helped save this page in the past, and thought to contact you right away. Please review the article and see what the problem is? Mahalo! ~Wrestlinghawaii Staff
