Hi, If we search for "Moti mahal", a Disambiguation pages comes without any specific information about Moti Mahal. It seems like some people are fighting for their own restaurants, nothing is there about Moti Motimahal's history, expertise or Awards and Accolades.
I know everything on this topic and want to add a new page with all possible information. Should I start a new page myself or should I ask any Senior member of Wikipedia to do it.
- As you would like to add the information yourself I suggest you create a draft, click on Help:Userspace draft to get started and when you think it's getting ready to go live, check at Wikipedia:Requests for feedback first.
- Note that a key problem for new users is adding adequate reliable sources and citing sources, follow the links to find out more. Good luck, Fæ (talk) 06:59, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
- (Just...an additional answer...some thoughts...)
- Be bold - do it yourself; if you like, write a draft (as mentioned above), and ask for help with that. Use a {{helpme}} here to get help again...ask us to look over it. Remember: the key is using references to 'reliable sources' - you must say where the facts come from.
- Sometimes when you just know a topic, that is the hardest part; you cannot write information that you simply know - it has to be verifiable - it needs references.
- Please do try to understand that; it is where almost all new editors struggle. For every 'fact' you write, we want the reader to be able to check it for themselves; we achieve that by adding a reference to something that most people consider to have a 'reputation for fact-checking and accuracy' - so, newspapers, books, things like that.
- Please take a look at some good articles - notice the extensive references.

How references work |
---|
Simple referenceseditThese require two parts;
Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref> He likes tea. <ref> [http://www.nicecupofteaandasitdown.com Tea website] </ref>
== References == {{reflist}} (an existing article is likely to already have one of these sections) To see the result of that, please look at user:chzz/demo/simpleref. Edit it, and check the code; perhaps make a test page of your own, such as user:Kvcindia/reftest and try it out. Named referenceseditChzz was born in 1837, <ref name="MyBook"> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref> in Footown.<ref name="MyBook"/> Note that the second usage has a / (and no closing ref tag). This needs a reference section as above; please see user:chzz/demo/namedref to see the result. Citation templateseditYou can put anything you like between <ref> and </ref>, but using citation templates makes for a neat, consistent look; Chzz has 37 Olympic medals. <ref> {{Citation | last = Smith | first = John | title = Olympic medal winners of the 20th century | publication-date = 2001 | publisher = [[Cambridge University Press]] | page = 125 | isbn = 0-521-37169-4 }} </ref> Please see user:chzz/demo/citeref to see the result. For more help and tips on that subject, see user:chzz/help/refs. |
Suspected copyright violation on Commonwealth Games Village 2010
editYour addition to Commonwealth Games Village 2010 has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. You seem to have copied the entire 'Introduction' section that you added from this site. If this text is freely available, for example under a Creative Commons license, then let me know. Otherwise, it is not acceptable to copy other people's content. Korruski (talk) 16:25, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
Dear Korruski I just want to state that I haven't copied the introduction section from this site. But I am the editor of that site a nd wrote this article there too. So you are requested to take appropriate action (Kvcindia 16:21, 29 September 2010 (UTC)).
- Hi Kvcindia. The khelkood.org site clearly states that its content is copyright (Copyright © Top Sports Stories & News Headlines). Even if you are the original writer of the content, you cannot normally use it on Wikipedia without violating Copyright. The best way around this is to change the footer of the khelkood.org website to state that the content may be used under a creative commons license. WP:IOWN should provide more info. Thanks! --Korruski (talk) 17:02, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
