License tagging for Image:Attackinblack2.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Attackinblack2.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 22:06, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. I see you've tagged it as {{GFDL-self}}. I was going through the untagged images which were in a backlogged category for deletion, so I spared that one. The tag you've selected implies that you took the photo yourself. At the very least, it says that you are the copyright holder. To prevent someone else coming along and tagging it as unsourced, which will again place it in a category of images awaiting deletion, it might be a good idea to go back to that image page and add a note saying that you were the person who took the photo (assuming that you were). Thanks again. Cheers. ElinorD (talk) 00:21, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

editThank you for uploading Image:Alexisonfirescenefest.jpg. It makes a nice addition to the Alexisonfire article. Since it's a free image, I'm going to transfer it to Wikipedia Commons, and I encourage you to upload any future free images there. Cheers. -- Reaper X 20:32, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Cityandcolouroutdoors.jpg
editThank you for uploading Image:Cityandcolouroutdoors.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 03:57, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Djipromo.jpg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Djipromo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. The Junction
editHi. It looks as if you copy-pasted the biography section of The Junction (band) from another website, which we can't do on Wikipedia because of copyright. I've removed the section, but let me know if I've misunderstood what happened. Thanks and happy editing, --Paul Erik 13:49, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

The file File:DallasGreenSCENE06.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
orphaned image, no encyclopedic use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
Also:
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:02, 6 April 2020 (UTC)
