Hi, Kyoko, Thanks for your welcome to me, ref Doctor Faustus (Thomas Mann novel) edits, at my IP address number as a userpage (which I can't actually remember offhand...)! Very kind of you...I'm afraid my machine kept logging me in and out and I am the same user as Eebahgum, with whom I have been alternating edits! Kyoko, can you tell me who is mainly responsible for the Clinical trials page? I appreciate your starting to simplify it. However, the whole article should be rewritten to be accessible to non-experts. I don't want to tamper with a "B" class article without getting some support. I am quite familiar with the field so for me to work on the page is more a matter of politics than expertise. One approach might be to have a simplified abstract of the page like an infobox. Aspirin has been selected as this week's Pharmacology Collaboration of the Week! Please help us bring this article up to featured standards during the week. The goal is to nominate this at WP:FAC on September 10, 2007.

WP:LGBT now has an IRC channel! It is #LGBTProject on Freenode. Users without IRC or Xchat can use the java app at java.freenode.net to access the channel from their web browser. Hope to see you in there sometime!
David Shankbone has taken a LOT of photos. An idea has been mooted to create a page for listing people who are willing to take images in their area on request, please give your thoughts here.

Here's a brief update in some of the recent developments of WikiProject Pharmacology!
Aspirin has just completed its two week run as the first Collaboration of the Week! Many thanks to those editors that contributed; the article got a lot of good work accomplished, and in particular, much work was done in fixing up the history section. It's still not quite "done" yet (is a wikipedia article really ever done?), but after two weeks I think it's more important to push onwards with the development of the new collaboration of the week program. I will be fixing up Aspirin in the next few days and possibly nominating it for either GA or FA status.
Muscle relaxant has been selected as the new Collaboration of the week until October 2, 2007! This article is currently rated as a "stub", so it's got quite a bit of work cut out for collaborators! Admittedly, featured status could be a long way off,... but still attainable! At the least, maybe we could at least get it up to meeting the Good article criteria? Please stop by the article and help improve it.
Resveratrol, having recently achieved GA status on August 16, 2007, is now making a run for featured status. This is quite a fascinating compound. If you can, please stop by its discussion page and leave comments in support of it.
Please remember that Wikipedia is not a forum for discussing or dispensing medical advice amongst users. Specifically, talk pages of articles should only be used to discuss improving the actual article in question. To help alleviate this situation, the template {{talkheader}} may be added to the top of talk pages, reminding users of the purpose of such pages. Additionally, unsigned comments and comments by anonymous users that are inappropriate may be removed from talk pages without being considered vandalism.

Then I went to another editor's page (username escapes me now), and then I saw Elaragirl's userpage and she said that you needed support. So I was curious, and went to your user page. Then I saw your essay in your user page. I'm really sorry about the whole debacle, people really pour their hearts and souls into Wikipedia (I do!) and when these sort of things happen it can be really painful. The LGBT studies project has been rather quiet of late. Though we've added over 180 new members in the last year, only a small percentage are active participants. If you haven't visited our project or talk page in a while, please stop by for a look. Also, if you happen to bump into another editor who you feel might enjoy working with us, please extend an invitation. There's lot's do do, and the active members would sincerely appreciate some help.
Our Peer review project is struggling at the present, with only a few people reviewing the articles. While it is certainly possible to submit articles for a general peer review, a review by members of the LGBT community can be of additional value for LGBT specific writing. There are several articles currently up for review on a wide range of topics. At the very least, reading the articles will undoubtedly broaden your intellectual horizons :-)
At the moment, David Le Brocq, Malmö Devilants and Trajectory Hermeneutics are up for deletion review. Please take a look at them and make your voice heard at the deletion review. Articles nominated for deletion also present a challenge for improvement. See what you can do, and watchlist our deletion review page.
The Pederasty articles continue to be a point of controversy both within and outside of our community. Various editors have suggested that to include them as LGBT Project related somehow taints the project and brings Wikipedia into disrepute. Other editors have stated that the articles, and especially the Pederasty article, are part of the core of LGBT studies. Well meaning editors continue to remove our tags from the articles themselves as well as the talk pages. If you have time, please read the articles and watchlist them to protect them from vandalism and well meaning but counterproductive edits.
The list of LGBT people has survived its 4th nomination for deletion. Please watchlist this list to protect it from vandalism and unsourced additions. There are many in Wikipedia who would like to see this Featured status list removed from the project. It is up to us to keep it to such a high caliber that it never is removed.
Our project member David Shankbone is now working as a journalist for Wikinews, as well as continuing to improve our project and Wikipedia as a whole with his photographs. A sincere thank you goes out to him for all of his hard work. Wikipedia would not shine nearly as brightly without your contributions, David.

The surviving life partner of prominent LGBT rights activist Barbara Gittings recently called one of our editors and, among other things, complimented us on what a great job our project is doing on Wikipedia. Member assistance
Some of our project members have been having difficulties related to editing on the encyclopedia. If you are feeling frustrated or distressed by your editing experience, please don't keep it to yourself. Wikipedia is a collaborative effort, and we are all here to help one another. Drop a line on our talkpage or on another editor's page, and other members of the LGBT project will happily give you the support you want and need.
Lastly, Halloween is just around the corner. More than most holidays, Halloween is a holiday embraced by and tailor made to our community (though God only knows why we are invisible in the Halloween article here. Perhaps somebody would like to rectify that editing oversight). Have fun, everybody, and remember to both trick and treat!

Yes, me either; it would be completely unmanageable otherwise. I do try to check most diffs (using popups) to spot obvious vandalism or whatnot, but it has indeed become more of a "list of articles that interest me" :) I also watch some articles I've deleted, to check for recreation. I don't remember specifics offhand, but I have had a few nice surprises here (such as a copyvio being recreated with original material, or an article on someone seemingly non-notable being rewritten with good sources). Add {{subst:js|User:Omegatron/monobook.js/addlink.js}} and {{subst:js|User:Gimmetrow/fixRefs.js}} to your monobook (saving and purging your cache after each; you may already have the first one). A link called "Fix reference marks" will appear in your toolbox, probably under "Special pages", when you are in edit mode. I apologize for not providing an adequate explanation for removing your edit. I removed your edit at the same time as another, and assumed that both claimed notability by using the music. Trivia sections have proved contentious, especially in opera articles, and I have caused a bit of a stir on occasions by often making sweeping revisions. The guideline for trivia on Wikipedia (WP:TRIVIA) admits that it is difficult to separate irrelevant information from that that is notable. With regard to your edit, I believe there are two specific issues with claiming notability on the basis of plot. The first is that Der Ring is based heavily on mythology, and it is difficult to distinguish whether a later work is based on the original work (the Nieblungenlied) or the adapted work (Der Ring des Nibelungen). The second is that such a reference, in my opinion, adds nothing to the appreciation of the work, which is my test for inclusion on the site. I must admit total ignorance on the television program mentioned, but I doubt it will stay in the minds of Wagnerians the way Anna Russell and Apocalypse Now have.
