U.S. vs. American
editYou seem to have the same problem as User talk:Kaizjose. Please discuss this with Kaizjose either here or on the other editor's talk page. The phrase "is an U.S. professional soccer club" is incorrect on several fronts.
- American is an adjective while U.S., standing here for United States, is a noun. In this sentence, "soccer club" is the noun and you can't have two in this case. American is describing the noun while U.S. isn't.
- If you were going to change it to "a U.S.", the article would match the use of the noun, but "an U.S." is incorrect article usage.
- If you were to change it to this incorrect term, it would not line-up with the remainder of the American MLS teams (sixteen in all) whose articles all read "is an American professional soccer club". It would also not agree with the two Canadian club articles whose articles read "is a Canadian professional soccer club". It doesn't agree with other American soccer clubs such as those in NASL and the various USL leagues. It doesn't agree with other American sports teams. It also doesn't agree with Amercian company articles. In fact, you'll have to "fix" this error on every other article that uses the adjectival form of the nation (English rather than England, Mexican rather than Mexico, German rather than Germany, Spanish rather than Spain, etc.) on Wikipedia, so you might want to settle-in for a lot of editing.
In short, I didn't revert your edit because I dislike you, I reverted your edit (twice) because it's an incorrect change. Walter Görlitz (talk) 22:54, 16 August 2013 (UTC)

. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Mark Arsten (talk) 15:44, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
