I like to hear from anyone, everyone. I'm a bit of an anti-authoritarian in wikiland and in offline life, but I believe dialogue can be the answer. Healthy dz-course and whatnot.

Talk it up, y'all. Leave new message like half way down or make a new Kzzl/page. whatever. Get creative. wikis are free baby. leaving messages at the bottom of the page is so played.

I just happened on this site and the information, glad I did. I think you have a real original idea here if you futher develope the section on sociolinguistics. Ten plus years ago during the heated discussions and laughter aout Ebonics you would have had a monster of a discussion on your hands. I will add more later, oh and by the way it is never "holler at me, but holla at me." Have a good day!! User:66.123.171.225

Hey user User:66.123.171.225. what the dzzl? Sorry I took so long to respond, but I never got an anonymous message before- it's pretty cool if you think about it. I've made anonymous edits to pages. not user talks but ya-meen, son? wu tang financial. protect ya neck! anyway, I know most people say "holla". do you think it's retarded to type "holler" at me? I kinda depends on what kind of cultural connotation I want it to have, when I say it, huh? I would def like to talk more if you'r around. oh yeah- and I think you meant to say
never "holler at me", but "holla at me."
not
never "holler at me, but holla at me."

redirects

edit

Actually, redirects need to be created like this: #REDIRECT [[Heresy]]. There's no leeway, really. Thanks for working to improve wikipedia --Zantastik talk 08:38, 30 May 2005 (UTC) Reply

I fail to see the use of having a link to sameness in the dynamical system article. The link leads to the disambiguation page same, and I suppose you want to relate it to identity and not the medicine, but which part of the discussion of identity is relevant to dynamical systems? -- Jitse Niesen 22:23, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)

That I don't know. The only way to get rid of the underline is to put three equal signs for the subheader but that is against Wikipedia's style guide. Sorry, I couldn't help. --Krystyn Dominik 4 July 2005 22:15 (UTC)

what's up bro, we better not edit the same articles otherwise people might think we're sockpuppets. --kizzle 02:12, July 14, 2005 (UTC)

I am an African American, and a Christian, that do believe that the Holocaust was one of the worst things on earth, like the enslavement of my people. What I dont understand is how can the chosen people, be like the people that enslaved and killed them. Have you no heart at all. Those people you kill have children. Those children will be your enemies. I don't all people see you now as being the underdog. You have become so cruel, as to kill, not only people, but your people are ready to percucute a drunken man, drunken people say dumb things. Be better then him. Jesus Christ taught us, to turn the other cheek. But not that. Think. Think. People are really seeing you now as the killer of Jesus, and other innocent people. Stop, Israel. Stop,. --70.22.39.242 05:02, 2 August 2006 (UTC)The Lord's ChildReply

Not that I know of, but there might be, you could ask on the discussion page. I think they've been making progress on it. Everyking 05:38, 25 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

Al-Qaeda

edit

The page will be unprotected when it is clear that all the disputes have been sorted out on the talk page. When that happens someone should put an unprotection request at WP:RFPP, and if the admin who deals with the request agrees that it can be unprotected it will be (although sometimes requests are made elsewhere).

Until that time only administrators can edit the page, and they will only do so according to the Wikipedia:Protection policy - i.e. they will only edit it to add or remove NPOV tags as apropriate or to make other, guaranteed uncontroversial edits (these are almost always requested on the talk page) e.g. I have edited the Al-Qaeda page today to add an interlanguage link to the io: article on Al-Qaeda. I recently also edited a protected page to fix a link.

There are only three states of page protection - not protected, protected against page moves only, and fully protected. It is not possible at this time to allow or disallow specific editors editing privs on specific articles. Thryduulf 17:46, 25 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

I agree that having it protected at all, and particularly for this length of time is frustrating. However, it is protected for a reason - i.e. it was the subject of edit/revert wars. Until the disagreement(s) that caused these is/are resolved then the page will not be unprotected. Your points would be much better made on talk:Al-Qaeda, where other editors of the article can see them, and also you can help resolve the situation that led to the protection. If you think the page was protected wrongly then make a note at WP:AN/I. Thryduulf 09:49, 26 July 2005 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your message on my talk page. Having got that out of your system you may like to start furthering the goals of wikipedia by trying to solve a dispute that stands in the way of improvements to the encylopaedia. Thryduulf

The article is now unblocked. Aloha --AI 20:02, 28 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

anti-racist mathematics

Thanks for the feedback, Kzzl. When I have time I'll try to add to the article and make it clearer, including the goals supporters hope to achieve. Best, Nectarflowed T 07:24, 2 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Re:how do you request an article?

edit

The requested article process can be quite confusing. Each article should go on one of the subpages. If you can't find a good place for an article, put it in the 'Other' section of Wikipedia:Requested articles/Other categorization schemes. If you are looking for a place to request anti-terrorism I would suggest the 'Crime & Law Enforcement' section of Requested articles/Applied arts and sciences, or maybe the 'Military' section of Requested articles/Social Sciences and Philosophy. If anti-terrorism is currently an inappropriate redirect, it might thus be a good idea to list it on Redirects for deletion. - SimonP 13:00, August 6, 2005 (UTC)

Inalienable

edit

My revert was mainly based on the fact that "inalienable" is the (universally) used modern version of the word, "unalienable" being an archaic variant that occasionally crops up only in legal language. To the best of my knowledge there's no difference in meaning; it's more like using "kinema" instead of "cinema" — with one exception that I know of, the former spelling just isn't used in English any more. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 21:04, 22 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Voting

edit

My point was we should be consistent. If we say it's universal suffrage on universal suffrage, then say differently on United States, then the list needs to be changed to reflect the truth, if that is indeed the truth, or the US article has to reflect the list. Also, the univ. suffrage article makes it clear that sometimes felons are excluded from "universal suffrage". --Golbez 03:47, August 27, 2005 (UTC)

Alright, I've deleted that subpage now - thanks for your help. Was obvious to me, but now and then you see some pretty weird vandalism on Wikipedia and you just want to make sure, that's all. BTW, if you ever need something, feel free to let me know on my talk page. Cheers! --HappyCamper 05:12, 28 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Politics

Hey Kzzl, I have looked at the House elections, and I believe the Republicans will lose a whole bunch of seats. With such egregious leaders like Tom Delay, I wouldn't be suprised if the Democrats retake the House AND the Senate. My thoughts on the Presidency is that it would go Republican (or Independent Chuck Hagel) if Hillary is the Democratic nominee, and it would go Democratic with someone like Evan Bayh or Mark Warner. --Lst27 (talk) 00:24, 5 September 2005 (UTC)Reply
