Proposed deletion of Back Country Camping Assateague Island
editThe article Back Country Camping Assateague Island has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Not an encyclopedia article. Wikipedia is not a travel guide.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Kinu t/c 22:36, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
- Regarding your posts on my talk page: if you would like actual constructive advice, please read the policies and guidelines I have provided on this page. You are new here, and your boldness is understandable, but Wikipedia has policies and guidelines that are requirements for articles. I'm not attempting to "pull rank" on you, but familiarizing yourself with a community's policies and guidelines is a good idea for any endeavor. I would recommend reading the policy on original research (which explains why anecdotes from your experiences are not suitable article content) and the guideline on reliable sources] (which explains how sourcing works). You linked to a definition of what an encyclopedia is; here is Wikipedia's. If you have questions, please ask here. --Kinu t/c 04:18, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
Your recent edits
editHello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 11:15, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
