Proposed deletion of Jacob Mellis

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Jacob Mellis, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

I have tried to improve the article. But I think the subject fails on WP:ATHLETE, because he is yet to make his professional debut. if this article doesn't get better than this then It should get deleted.
