Please do not write or add to an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Duplication

edit

There is no need to create a duplicate copy of a draft article on a talk page when submitting a draft via AFC. Robert McClenon (talk) 22:11, 10 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Welcome!

edit

Hello, Labsalah Duhul Hassan, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created was Labsalah Duhul Hassan, which appears to be an article about yourself. This is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! 220 of Borg 15:11, 12 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Multiple copies of a page

edit

Please don't create multiple copies of the same page. You have now created five identical or almost identical copies of your page about yourself. Doing this creates a number of problems, especially if you submit more than one of them as "articles for creation", which results in volunteers wasting time assessing a draft without knowing that someone else has already assessed another copy of the same page. For the same reason, having a submitted but not yet assessed draft in existence when the article has already been created wastes editors' time.   Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to introduce inappropriate pages to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. If you need guidance on how to create appropriate pages, try using the Article Wizard. I now see that I was wrong in saying above that you have created five identical or almost identical copies of your page about yourself: you have in fact created at least eight copies, using at least two accounts. I am about to block your second account, and this one will be bocked too if you do any more disruptive editing of any kind, including abusing multiple accounts, creating multiple copies of the same page, or anything else which obstructs the work of editors who are here to improve the encyclopaedia.   Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Labsalah Duhul Hassan. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!
