- Hello, Lakeperson. You can rectify these matters by using inline citations to the source, and using the links from the DNR reference to support specific statements; for example, a recent map shows the depth at 74'-- you can cite to this map. (And the map shows that Stella is to the west, not east of Washington-- that should be clarified.) Good luck. Kablammo (talk) 21:48, 28 January 2019 (UTC)

Campbell Lake
editLakeperson,
I removed the content you added to Campbell Lake (Carver and McLeod counties, Minnesota) because that article is actually about a different lake near Winsted, not Otter Lake in Hutchinson. The book that the name is referenced to gives the township and section to confirm that. -Olds 403 (talk) 18:03, 13 April 2019 (UTC)
With this edit at New Germany, Minnesota you said that in 2016, 20 people voted for third parties. What is your source to support this number? Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 23:32, 21 February 2021 (UTC)
- Hello, there are two options for finding how I got 20 voters. First, on that document you can see it states there were 198 total voters in the New Germany precinct, the only precinct for the town. If you then do basic arithmetic you can combine Donald J Trump's 148 votes and Hillary Clinton's 30 votes to reach 178. Knowing from general knowledge that they were the two main parties (DFL and GOP) nominees, you then can combine them to 178 votes. If you then do the basic subtraction of 198-178 you reach 20 voters. If that math is too complex for you, you could also view the vote by party page for New Germany on the MN SOS website. It states the exact same thing. If you have any other questions, please free to contact me instead of removing my edits on pages. This is how I got to my numbers on all my edits however, there is always a slight chance that I made a numerical error in my many calculations. I have not found any thus far but it is possible. I appreciate your concern on this matter.
- On the chart, the "total number of persons voting in the precinct" applies to several elections, not just the presidential election. Look to the right and you will see that those 198 voters also voted for their state and federal senators and representatives. The missing 20 simply didn't cast a vote for president. For example, to the right on the chart are the results for the election for US representative for District 6. There, 151 voted for Republican Tom Emmer, and 40 voted for Democrat David Snyder. That means 7 voters abstained out of the 198 voters. Was there a mystery "third party" candidate who took these 7 votes? Magnolia677 (talk) 21:44, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
I updated the link to source that clearly shows the voters. My data was still correct.
