IMDb as a source

edit

Hi Lamarh1981, I noticed that you recently used IMDB as a source for information in a biography article. Please note that per long-standing consensus, IMDb does not meet the reliable sourcing criteria for the inclusion of personal information in such articles. You can read more about the reasons for this here, here and here. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 22:15, 24 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:Futakoi box set.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Futakoi box set.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 19:24, 20 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. I am typing this letter in response to my account being blocked from editing Wikipedia pages on January 9. I had never even received a warning from any Wikipedia moderator or even any reason why my account was blocked from blocked editing, hence the reason of my appeal. When I made edits to certain pages, I have always given reasons like correcting typos, citing sources, etc. Whenever I made changes to certain articles, I have never attempted (nor will I ever attempt) to vandalize pages or put in biased viewpoints. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reply to me when you have a chance. Thank you very much. Lamarh1981 (talk) 05:53, 17 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Texas Super Kings

Hello. The website you keep on trying to add to this site doesn't appear to be official as far as I can tell - it looks awfully pharmy to me as well - although right now it's not loading at all. I can't find it linked from any MLC official source or from any social media account which is known to be the actual team account. Neither is it linked from the CSK website or anywhere they work from as far as I can tell - and the whois data for the established CSK website is **very** different to that for the site you keep on trying to add.

I suggest we stop. It doesn't matter if it's there or not, but it's far more important that we're cautious in situations like this. Blue Square Thing (talk) 16:52, 31 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

The Seattle one you added is certainly nothing to do with the cricket team. Really is time to stop please - this looks like spam now. Blue Square Thing (talk) 16:54, 31 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Any chance you could show one link from an official MLC source to any of these supposed sites you're adding? The MLC page itself has a history of having bogus sites added to it as well. If you can provide a link I'll look into it; until you do that I think you're increasingly close to spamming. Blue Square Thing (talk) 17:30, 31 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
