A welcome from Sango123

Glad to be part of this community. Two requests: the page is ranked as a "starting page" and as of "low importance." Please reconsider these classifications. This is a fully-developed page with citations to primary sources, and since it describes the largest LGBTQ-affirming church movement in North America (actually, in the world) it should be considered to be fairly important. Also, how do we change the page titles from "Open and affirming" to "Open and Affirming"? (The latter is the legal name, with the "A" capitalized.)

Hello, Langohio, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions; I hope you like the place and decide to stay. We're glad to have you in our community! Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Though we all make goofy mistakes, here is what Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to see the help pages or add a question to the village pump. The Community Portal can also be very useful.

Happy Wiki-ing!

P.S. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you need help with anything or simply wish to say hello. :)

Please don't spam links to your blog everywhere. Thanks. Secretlondon 22:15, 19 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your advice, secretlondon. I did add links to my blog where I'd posted researched articles that were relevant to a Wikipedia article's subject, but have since learned this is not encouraged. So I've stopped.--langohio 19:42, 9 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to WikiProject Germany

Welcome, Langohio, to the WikiProject Germany! Please direct any questions about the project to its talk page. If you create new articles on Germany-related topics, please list them at our announcement page and tag their talk page with our project template {{WikiProject Germany}}. A few features that you might find helpful:

  • The project's Navigation box points to most of the pages in the project that might be of use to you.
  • Most of the important discussions related to the project take place on the project's main talk page; you may find it useful to watchlist it.
  • We've developed a number of guidelines for names, titles, and other things to standardize our articles and make interlinking easier that you may find useful.

Here are some tasks you can do. Please remove completed tasks from the list.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me or any of the more experienced members of the project, and we'll be very happy to help you. Again, welcome, and thank you for joining this project! -- Kusma (討論) 22:04, 9 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your help with the cleanup of Allgemeiner Deutscher Nachrichtendienst! I think it looks okay now, but as I am not a native speaker of English I don't really feel qualified to judge the quality of English prose. Anyway, I have removed it from the To do template above. Happy editing, Kusma (討論) 21:18, 10 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

East Germany

edit

Hi!

I'm trying to contact users interested in   East Germany. You have edited some topics so I was wondering if you would like to cooperate in terms of editing?

Rayhou (talk) 22:11, 30 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi again!

I just saw your edit on my page. It took a while as I've taken a break from editing Wikipedia. Anyways, I'm starting to feel like getting back to business and would like to know if you still want to edit some DDR topics with me? I hope you have the needed special expertise as I only have enthusiasm and general knowledge about the topics. So, are you with me?

Also, if we get this thing rolling, I should try to recontact this guy as he shares our common interest too.

Rayhou (talk) 20:17, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sure, I'll be glad to help. --langohio (talk) 18:14, 29 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Great news! I had previously compiled a list of few topics that lack articles. Take a look at it and tell me what you think! Do you know anything about the topics? Rayhou's DDR ToDo
Rayhou (talk) 19:18, 31 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! I glanced at the list and I'm not really qualified to write much about the subjects. Someone who knows more about the GDR economy would be good for the articles on Konsum and the HO. I studied in the GDR and knew something about the role of the cooperative and state sectors of the economy, but not enough to fill out an article. --langohio (talk) 16:49, 1 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
