Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.[1] --Ronz (talk) 16:59, 17 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

For anyone looking at my talk page and now wondering whether I am a spammer, this discussion moved here and here. I'm not associated with the blog I linked to; I was just providing attribution as required by CC BY licenses, which are allowed under the image guidelines. But it turns out that the image was not ok, not because it requires attribution, but because it does not allow commercial use, and -NC licenses are not allowed (see below). So this turned into a frustrating effort to edit Wikipedia to add a picture of one of my favorite St. Patrick's Day treats. --Larrimore (talk) 18:25, 17 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
Sorry about that. I've never even seen the candies. Any way you could take a picture yourself? --Ronz (talk) 18:33, 17 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
Sadly, no - I no longer live in Philadelphia, so I was missing them today. But if I am ever there around March 17 in the future, I will be sure to take a picture! --Larrimore (talk) 18:38, 17 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:Irishpotatocandy.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Irishpotatocandy.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:06, 17 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Having looked more carefully at the image guidelines, I see that this image is not allowed because it has a -NC license (not allowing commercial use). But I can't figure out how to delete it. --Larrimore (talk) 18:20, 17 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
