I suggest most strongly that you observe this article without adding material to it. Please read WP:Autobiography for information on how to handle yourself here. At present the article is poorly referenced in reliable sources. Please feel free to provide these at Talk:Laura Figueroa and to request their addfition to the article. You may use this page to request other changes, too. See {{Request edit}} for ways of drawing people's attention to the request. Fiddle Faddle 16:15, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- The editor to whom this talkpage belongs, have issued a concern that someone is accusing her of conflict of interest, though I don't see any, I would like to know what's going on? From my point of view here, is that I have written an article on a notable Mexican sculptor, provided only one reference (even that was dead as of today), and received a barnstar from a user saying that she is Laura Figueroa. I appreciate the award and such, so I looked up my article and it turned out that she have added the exhibitions which I missed. There was however a reason why I missed them and its because I don't know Spanish. Though if the user can translate them into English or provide much more in depth coverage on the person (such as adding links in Spanish would be a good example), I and Wikipedia community would appreciate it.--Mishae (talk) 00:07, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
- It's very simple. Because LauraFigueroa333 has added a great swathe of stuff to the article I added the COI tag. I am happy that an editor who is not me looks at the article as it stands and decides if that tag should remain since I have removed a tranche of the stuff that was added. We tag what we see, and we rely on others to validate that by removing or not removing the tags. This is all part of consensus building.
- Since LauraFigueroa333 is making requests on the article talk page I think we may well find that COI is not going to happen any more. Fiddle Faddle 00:31, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
- Yea, that what she told me on my talkpage. She just wants the list of exhibits to be featured in the main article. If its O.K., I can copy and paste it from my talkpage to the article? I mean, just the list. Also, she mentioned that she would like some images to be added but doesn't know our CC by SA policy. Can you, or anyone else help her with that?--Mishae (talk) 01:31, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
- @Mishae: Well, a list of exhibits/exhibitions feels to me to be undue weight. Let us determine that she is notable before adding a huge list to the article, and let every fact be a cited fact first. Let us not rush in to populating the article with pictures of exhibits, either. If Laura owns the copyright to a picture of herself (I means owns the copyright, not just is in the picture) then she can upload it herself. If she simply has a licence to use the picture she must read WP:COPYRIGHT and use the OTRS system. Fiddle Faddle 08:36, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
- Laura, I have also replied to your message on my own talk page. Fiddle Faddle 08:43, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
- Did I proposed to populate her article with pictures of exhibits? If it sounded like that, than I am sorry. All that I said was maybe adding one picture of her exhibit and maybe a portrait of herself, that's all.--Mishae (talk) 15:04, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
- Let us stick to a portrait of her for now. If a piece of her work is notable we can show it and cite its notability at the same time, provided copyright issues are handled correctly :) Fiddle Faddle 15:52, 5 November 2013 (UTC)

I understand the controversy... But I am not sure what I can do to help. Thank you for your time.
But please, I ask that you either take me down or remove the tag.

editHello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 22:24, 5 November 2013 (UTC)

editPlease do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Laura Figueroa. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. --MrScorch6200 (t c) 03:10, 8 December 2013 (UTC)
