I just received an email saying "‪KylieTastic‬ left a message on your talk page," but when I click on "View Message" in the email, it takes me here where I can't find Kylie's message. Any ideas? ~~

I've just finished editing my article on the pianist "Adam Swanson" and attempted to submit it for review and publication. There was no SUBMIT button showing, so I added "{{AfC submission|||ts=20210606094259|u=LaurieNorton1|ns=3}}" to the top of the draft. I hope I did this correctly and the article will now be cued up for review. Thanks! ~~

I hope someone can change the title of this article on a living artist from "Adam G. Swanson" to "Adam Swanson" or tell me how to. I can't seem to figure that out. Thanks!

(Oh, do note that I've already submitted it for approval.Hope that doesn't complicate the name change!) — Preceding unsigned comment added by LaurieNorton1 (talkcontribs) 03:20, 22 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Not to worry. When the reviewer accepts the draft, they will assign an appropriate name for the article following Wikipedia's standard naming conventions. There's no need for you to do anything about the name at present. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 03:41, 22 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your reply, jmcgnh. I noticed the message referred to my question as "unsigned." I guess that's because I didn't type four tildes somewhere, but it seems very strange that it would be identified as unsigned when it specifically states who I am(LaurieNorton1). (I hope you get this message. I don't see how to email/message you except to write here. In any case, there's no need for you to reply to this...)
Yes, the {{xsign}} template includes that little dig at your omission as part of an effort to remind people to sign their postings on talk pages, including on their own talk page.

As for notifying me, I watch pages I recently made posts to, so not to worry. But if you want to get the attention of a specific editor, there's a {{reply|username}} template that works for that, along with its friend {{ping|username}}. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 20:54, 22 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for contacting me about my article on Adam Swanson, Liz. Apparently I did something to create confusion because it actually hasn't yet been six months since I submitted the article for publication. I hope you can help me sort things out. My original article was rejected back in Sept 2020 [I believe the editor thought it was a bit flowery and sounded too promotional.] When I started the rewrite in Feb '21, I didn't load and edit the existing, rejected article from my contributions. Instead, I copied and pasted a version I'd written on my computer into my sandbox, creating a new article. That is the version I eventually submitted for approval/publication on 6/4/21. [When I made that submission, the service told me waiting time for approval had increased to 7 or 8 months which makes me think Wiki should be extending the 6 month editing requirement anyway...]

Am I right in thinking my editing method created two articles in Wiki's mind and is the cause of this confusion? And is there anything else I need to do to ensure my second version is still awaiting approval? Thanks again for you time and assistance! Best wishes, LN ~~
