editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Ivan Tai has been reverted.
Your edit here to Ivan Tai was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhEj0kMM3_Y, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J25731OSKPE, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ao3o4Di2yfg) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. music or video) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Ivan Tai. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Firefangledfeathers (talk) 14:06, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
AfC notification: Draft:Ivan Tai has a new comment
editShould recreate the wiki page
editThe person is a well known TV personality in Malaysia. All the info above have news publication for reference, please check the citation below the draft created. He’s a national news anchor which appear on TV at prime time. I suggest to recreate the wiki page for Ivan Tai. Lavendermoomoo (talk) 16:19, 1 September 2021 (UTC)
- Firstly, there's no such thing as "automatically notable because he exists" — in order to make him notable enough for a Wikipedia article, you have to be able to show some evidence of distinction, such as notable acting or journalism awards and/or media coverage where his significance is being analyzed in the third person. You can't use primary sources like IMDb or Mubi just to verify that movies exist as support for his notability, and you can't use Q&A interviews where he's answering questions about himself in the first person. Just minimally verifying that he exists is not automatically enough in and of itself: you need a much stronger notability claim than just "he exists", and much more and better sourcing than you've actually used to support that draft.
- Secondly, the way to get an article recreated now is not to go around whining on the talk pages of people who commented in the prior AFD discussions. It's to submit your new draft through the AFC process, and follow any direction you get there about needing better sources, because the draft is just not good enough to overturn the prior deletion yet. There are more than 10 press coverage in different languages is talking about this person and title him as a news anchor or actor. This prove that he is notable in TV industry and it’s not a Q&A interview.
Even thought his Twitter and Facebook page has been verified by the authority. As you know the guideline for verification in Facebook and Twitter, it’s must be notable in the industry.
Someone has added the citation for his background by using all the press coverage, but why ignore all these evidences? Lavendermoomoo (talk) 16:46, 1 September 2021 (UTC)
I try to recreate the wiki page for this person and cite few media coverage. Please take a look and hopefully can approve the draft Lavendermoomoo (talk) 16:48, 1 September 2021 (UTC)
