Hello, I'm an art historian from Berlin and just starting to write articles for wikipedia. I created the pages of those three and I'm wondering why the articles should miss the guidelines. All three artists are well-known and made an important impact to the society and are well recognized. Please let me know how to proceed in writing for wikipedia. Best wishes, Leda47 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.190.26.223 (talk) 16:21, 21 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello again, it's been quite a while that I created the sites on Thorsten Goldberg, Elmar Hess, Susanne Kessler. How long will the proceedings take to be valid of verifiability? Best wishes, Leda47

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, instead of writing it yourself. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. --bender235 (talk) 17:55, 18 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello Freshacconci, could you pls specify what I should refrain. The article about Susanne Kessler ist incubated and I can't understand why and how I should proceed to clarify or proove. Any help is appreciated. THX!!!Leda47 (talk) 14:28, 21 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
The discussion for deletion is closed. The page clearly says "No further edits should be made to this page". You removed that statement and then proceeded to add commentary to the page. This clearly indicates that you understood that you were not to add anything more to that page. Therefore you were being disruptive. There is a link right on the page to Wikipedia:Article Incubator/Susanne Kessler. freshacconci talktalk 14:34, 21 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
I've changed the status to evaluation, meaning an uninvolved editor will look at it and see if it is ready to go into the mainspace. Anyone can change the status but I realize the instructions are confusing. I had to read them over myself a few times to understand what had to be done. In any case, it's now on to the next step. You can still edit the article while it's in the incubator if you feel more improvements are needed. Other than that, you just need to wait. freshacconci talktalk 15:18, 21 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
Thanks so much for your help!!! I'll try to be patient ;-)Leda47 (talk) 21:22, 22 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from one or more pages to Nicole Loeser. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. For example: Content in this edit is translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk pages of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, please add attribution retrospectively for that also, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you.

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from one or more pages to Nicole Loeser. While translation is welcome, this translation appears to be poor quality or machine translation. Wikipedia consensus is that an unedited machine translation, left as a Wikipedia article, is worse than nothing. Please only translate pages when you understand both languages; for more guidance, see Help:Translation. Thank you. (t · c) buidhe 06:31, 16 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Nicole Loeser moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Nicole Loeser, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
