Two Point Hospital
Hello, Lee Vilenski. This is a courtesy notice that the copy edit you requested for Two Point Hospital at the Guild of Copy Editors requests page is now complete. All feedback welcome! Cheers, Baffle gab1978 00:40, 2 October 2018 (UTC) |
- Hi Lee, I've removed some of the off-topic and waffly text in the article, mostly from Development; you'll find text removed with references on the article's talk page. That section is still, imo, far too wordy for easy reading; still it's a new-ish article and will develop over time. Cheers, Baffle gab1978 00:40, 2 October 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Ace 2 flight simulator cover.jpg
A tag has been placed on File:Ace 2 flight simulator cover.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — HELLKNOWZ ▎TALK 15:58, 8 October 2018 (UTC)
Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:05, 8 October 2018 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:A-good-snowman-is-hard-to-build-game-for-android.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:A-good-snowman-is-hard-to-build-game-for-android.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:23, 9 October 2018 (UTC)

Hi Lee. How are you? I have a problem in the BC article. One user is reverting my editions. I warned him and gave the general warning and he reverted one more time. Do you know what to do now? Im lost in the burocracy.HHH Pedrigree (talk) 23:29, 10 October 2018 (UTC)
- HHH Pedrigree - I'm well! I'm glad to see you back, I understand you took a little time off.
- Sadly, I'm not an administrator, so my tools won't help such matters, I'd suggest opening conversation regarding any edits on the talk page. Just because someone disagrees with you, it doesn't mean that they are being disruptive. I'd suggest attempting to open conversation with the user, as after you've made an attempt, and they disregard this, at that point it is disruptive editing, and could be brought up at WP:ANI.
- I believe Oknazevad has made the changes anyway, who is a far more experienced wikipedian, so it may already be resolved. However, I would also suggest in creating the List of members of Bullet Club split for this article. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 07:46, 11 October 2018 (UTC)

Speaking of OR
You really should have a look at some of the current footy AfDs on the list, there are some ridicules list-stat articles!! Govvy (talk) 13:22, 15 October 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah, they suck Govvy. But, without a consensus as to what statistical tables are considered notable, these articles always beat the curve. I brought up these before, but the arguments around WP:OR are simply that they could be sourced. My biggest issue is that a lot of this information regardless of how correct it is, isn't notable. In the List of UEFA European Championship records article, there is a stat for: Most kicks taken, team, tournament. How is that a notable record? If this was a fictional competition, all of these types of articles would be gone quicker than anything for WP:FANCRUFT. However, there are an incredible amount of unsourced, non-notable statistic level articles that simply exist in Wikipedia, that seem to have no real consensus against. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 13:33, 15 October 2018 (UTC)
- I know, it's articles like these that make me want to go for a run then get on my PS4 instead of working! Govvy (talk) 13:38, 15 October 2018 (UTC)

NPR Newsletter No.14 21 October 2018

Hello Lee Vilenski/Archives/2018, thank you for your work reviewing New Pages!
- Backlog
As of 21 October 2018[update], there are 3650 unreviewed articles and the backlog now stretches back 51 days.
- Community Wishlist Proposal
- There is currently an ongoing discussion regarding the drafting of a Community Wishlist Proposal for the purpose of requesting bug fixes and missing/useful features to be added to the New Page Feed and Curation Toolbar.
- Please join the conversation as we only have until 29 October to draft this proposal!
- Project updates
- ORES predictions are now built-in to the feed. These automatically predict the class of an article as well as whether it may be spam, vandalism, or an attack page, and can be filtered by these criteria now allowing reviewers to better target articles that they prefer to review.
- There are now tools being tested to automatically detect copyright violations in the feed. This detector may not be accurate all the time, though, so it shouldn't be relied on 100% and will only start working on new revisions to pages, not older pages in the backlog.
- New scripts
- User:Enterprisey/cv-revdel.js(info) — A new script created for quickly placing {{copyvio-revdel}} on a page.
