Promotional material?
editHi, welcome to editing Wikipedia. Your work on Ethan Gilsdorf and your addition of his books as references to gaming articles (where they are not actually referenced) seems rather promotional to me, which isn't in keeping with how Wikipedia should work. Is there a conflict of interest happening here? Ryan Paddy (talk) 08:46, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
- I've removed listings of the book from three articles, as it appeared to be WP:BOOKSPAM. Ryan Paddy (talk) 00:03, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

editPlease do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Lee Harvey Oswald. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Ian.thomson (talk) 03:05, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, you may be blocked from editing. Ian.thomson (talk) 03:53, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
Hello, Leelostboy. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. Editing for the purpose of advertising or promotion is not permitted. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Deli nk (talk) 12:52, 12 January 2018 (UTC)
