Greetings!
My name is Ryan, and it's my pleasure to welcome you, Leenewt, to Wikipedia! First of all, I'd like to thank you for joining the project, and contributing to articles and discussion. I hope you can continue to take part in Wikipedia, because we need more valuable editors like yourself.

If you are new and need some assistance, here are some great links to check out:

I hope you enjoy editing here, and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, find out where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Before I go, here's one more tip. When you post on talk pages, be sure to sign your name and the date by typing four tildes: ~~~~. That automatically generates your username and the date. Again, welcome, and happy editing!  --Merovingian (t)N (c) 05:38, 14 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Oh, you're quite welcome, and I am always available if you have a question. --Merovingian (t)N (c) 07:59, 14 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Edit summary

edit

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labelled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

When you leave the edit summary blank, some of your edits could be mistaken for vandalism and may be reverted, so please always briefly summarize your edits, especially when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 03:48, 15 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

An image that you uploaded, Image:Tweezers1 web.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information there and on its page, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

Hi there, good job on the article on Optical tweezers. However, most of the illustrations in there are copyrighted, and per the copyright policy one can't re-use content that is publisched elsewhere on the WWW. Please take time to read [[Wikipedia:Copyright as ost of the illustrations will have to be replaced. Pilatus 21:27, 2 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi there thanks for the praise and copyright reminder, just hope that more people get a better feel of optical tweezers in general.

Due to such copyright issues (not to cause WIKI any problem), i have removed the figures from the articles. Feel free to edit :-)

Cheers

Total re-write of the main Physics page is in progess

edit

You might like to join us at Physics/wip where a total re-write of the main Physics page is in progess. At present we're discussing the lead paragraphs for the new version, and how Physics should be defined. I've posted here because you are on the Physics Project participant list. --MichaelMaggs 08:04, 11 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Physics participation

edit

You received this message because your were on the old list of WikiProject Physics participants.

On 2008-06-25, the WikiProject Physics participant list was rewritten from scratch as a way to remove all inactive participants, and to facilitate the coordination of WikiProject Physics efforts. The list now contains more information, is easier to browse, is visually more appealing, and will be maintained up to date.

If you still are an active participant of WikiProject Physics, please add yourself to the current list of WikiProject Physics participants. Headbomb {ταλκWP Physics: PotW} 16:13, 25 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
