editThanks for your recent edits. I just rolled back Male-to-female transsexual to a redirect to Transwoman because the materials you added were a copy of materials already on Transwoman. If you have any questions, let me know. Again, welcome! Jokestress (talk) 23:50, 3 July 2011 (UTC)
- Hello LeonaHelen-- I got your message on my talk page. The redirect was created in 2006 by someone other than me. As other editors mentioned, the reason the article you created was redirected by several different editors (including me) is that the materials in your article duplicated an existing article. If you wish to discuss changing the title for the trans woman article, you may start a request at Wikipedia:Requested moves. The outcome of the request will be determined by the discussion there. If you wish to create a separate article titled male-to-female transsexual, it needs to demonstrate why it should be a distinct article. That means it must have reliable sources, neutral point of view, no original research, and consensus that the material merits a separate article.
- You can start a draft article in your user space by clicking this link: Male-to-female transsexual. If you need a copy of the materials you added today, you can click here. This article can be worked on until you feel it's ready to be made into its own article. If you have any questions, let me know. I know Wikipedia policies can seem strange or frustrating to new editors, but they are in place to resolve matters such as this in a fair and consistent way. - If you look at the page history, you will see that several editors have redirected the page, and that I only redirected it once. Would you prefer that it redirect to Transsexualism? The materials you added are duplicated there. If so, we can start a discussion about that, but the article you recreated is going to be removed and redirected by other editors yet again, because you are not following the rules regarding consensus. I recommend not making further changes to the article while we resolve the dispute. Otherwise your edits may be considered disruptive, because you are not listening to editors who are trying to resolve this with you. Jokestress (talk) 01:36, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
Your recent edits
editHello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 02:48, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
Please stop edit-warring at Male-to-female transsexual. If you think the title of the article Trans woman is incorrect, then discuss it on its Talk page and suggest a page move. The answer is *not* to create a new article with your preferred name -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 08:42, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
