Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page List of marketing research firms do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Kuru (talk) 20:18, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on SMART: Strategic Marketing And Research Techniques®, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia for multiple reasons. Please see the page to see the reasons. If the page has since been deleted, you can ask me the reasons by leaving a message on my user talk page.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. bonadea contributions talk 07:48, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
- To save you the trouble of asking for the specific reasons, I'll post them here: the page was tagged first because it looks like unambiguous advertising, with no other object than to promote the company; and second, because there were no indications of importance or significance for the company. Please note that all Wikipedia articles need to be about notable subjects, and must have reliable independent sources (i.e. sources unaffiliated with the company) to support any claims of notability. Note also that the presence of other Wikipedia articles about similar subjects can't be used as an argument to keep an article- each article stands on its own merits.
- As noted below, if you have any connection to the company you should avoid creating or editing articles about it. Please read the notice below as well as the linked policies. Thank you. --bonadea contributions talk 08:14, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
Hello,
I wrote the article because I was told by another administrator that — to be included on the List_of_marketing_research_firms — a corresponding article on the company would to be needed, which made perfect sense to me (I am a newbie).
Although I am a new contributor, every effort was made to follow Wikipedia’s rules and guidelines. The article was also written in light of other articles linked to the List_of_marketing_research_firms.
Would you please take another look at the deletion of this article? Thank you for your consideration.
Ler0y (talk) 18:59, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Ler0y, I'm not an administrator so I can no longer see the text of the deleted article, so I can't take another look at it. You could always contact the deleting administrator, User:RHaworth, and discuss it with them. Regards, --bonadea contributions talk 19:14, 1 July 2011 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Larry J. Gordon, Public-Environmental Health Leader, Policymaker, 1980.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Larry J. Gordon, Public-Environmental Health Leader, Policymaker, 1980.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 19:44, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
