Paid editing

My intention is to start with the Adelaida District AVA article (Adelaida District AVA) and write articles for each of the wineries cited. Purely a community service on my part. As this is my first article, I am obviously making mistakes! I thought I was modeling the DAOU article on the Tablas Creek Vineyard article (Tablas Creek Vineyard). I do work in the industry (which is an extremely small community, many of us have worked for multiple wineries) and do work for DAOU at this time, but not as a marketer. My interest is academic and I do have a high degree of expertise in wine business and wine history by way of education and experience. I am also a professional editor and have published academic articles in the past. I am starting with the wineries I know best, but absolutely have no intention of turning these articles into PR pieces—I'm just trying to learn how to do it right. I seriously do not understand. Theroadislong editor told me to create a user page. I looked up what kinds of things go on a Wikipedia user page and did that. Now I have a speedy deletion notice? She has disclosed that she is an employee of Daou and therefore has a COI, but she is telling us she is not being paid for creating and submitting this draft. I don't think using a particular template that specifically says "she has been paid by Daou for her contributions to Wikipedia", which according to her is not correct, is required? I think it's generally what we assume is usually true, and certainly no employee should be editing a published article directly but instead make edit requests. Drafts are a little iffier, I think, at least IMO, and I'm totally willing to be persuaded, but an employee with a declared COI writing and submitting a draft is probably just on the safe side of the line. The thing is, I do understand why someone with a wine background and wine job would think writing about their area of expertise might be fun, and starting with your own employer, and immediately disclosing when queried?
