Your edits to Air Defense Identification Zone
editWelcome back to Wikipedia. I have noticed that it has been several years since you have edited an article. I welcome and applaud your enthusiasm for editing especially the Air Defense Identification Zone article. I have made numerous changes to your edits and have explained myself at Talk:Air Defense Identification Zone#Reverted changes. Please comment there on my edits and comments. Hopefully we can reach a consensus per Wikipedia policy WP:Consensus.
I also notice that you have not edited the main article Air Defense Identification Zone (East China Sea). You might be interested in that and with other article on air defense zones, including even creating an article on 1 or 2. --Iloilo Wanderer (talk) 01:24, 7 December 2013 (UTC)
Edit warring
editPlease be aware that edit warring is strictly prohibited. See Wikipedia:Edit warring. Your aggressive edits to Air Defense Identification Zone border on edit warring at the very least. Please explain your actions on Talk:Air Defense Identification Zone so that a consensus can be reached.--Iloilo Wanderer (talk) 02:21, 7 December 2013 (UTC)

editFrom Liang1a to IW:
You're the one who is doing the edit warring. You have consistently posted misleading information.Liang1a (talk) 06:07, 8 December 2013 (UTC)
Trying to hide the facts.
editStop trying to censor the facts about China's ADIZ, (Personal attack removed). China requires all flights, not just inbound flights, to identify themselves. You want a war on this point, you've got it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.81.29.3 (talk) 03:47, 7 December 2013 (UTC)
You've been repeatedly invited to discuss instead of edit warring but you don't seem inclined to do that. Perhaps getting more people involved here can resolve the situation.
editThere is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.--Brian Dell (talk) 01:29, 10 December 2013 (UTC)

editThis is your final warning. The next time you add original research or your personal opinions to an article on Wikipedia, as you have been doing at Air Defense Identification Zone (East China Sea), you will be blocked from editing. Someguy1221 (talk) 01:51, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
And who are you? Do you have the authority to "blocked from editing"?Liang1a (talk) 03:06, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
- I'm a Wikipedia administrator (see verification). So yes, I do have the authority. Someguy1221 (talk) 03:09, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
Moving forwards
edit- To attempt to explain what you are doing wrong -
- Nothing is wrong with presenting the official Chinese positions and communications on this, Nothing is wrong with presenting major Chinese media outlets' opinion responses, and the like, or those from other countries.
- Nothing is wrong with balancing out a general comment such as "international criticism" with say the specific lists of nations that criticized, referring to the specific sources already presented or other ones you bring in to the article.
- Calling the nations that criticized "carping" is clearly propaganda, and not even vaguely neutral or encyclopedic.
- Your fixation on the rules concerning the ADIZ is also misplaced - what is controversial is not that there is an ADIZ, or that it has rules for flights nearby the territorial airspace, but that it covers disputed island territory. If one were to turn the situation around, and Japan to announce a similar expansion of its ADIZ to the same distance from the disputed islands, the zone would go some distance over the Chinese mainland.
- Responding to summaries of press coverage in reliable sources with your own opinion and personal research is not acceptable on Wikipedia. Doing this on a topic you are emotionally engaged with is risking your continued ability to edit here.
- I recommend you back away from the topic. Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 04:17, 10 December 2013 (UTC)

Hello
editHi, Liang1a. I bet you're feeling a little bit "beat up" right now, like everyone is ganging up on you. You are new here and have jumped right into a fairly controversial subject, while challenging a lot of other more experienced editors. You don't want to end up topic-banned, blocked or worse, do you? Can I offer some advice? (I'm not involved in any articles that you are - so I'm neutral, and just trying to help) Take a little break from editing - just for a few days. Take the time to read the help info, posted at the top of your talk page, with the headings of;
- Getting started
- Finding your way around
- Editing articles
- Getting help
- How you can help
Anyways, like I said, take a little break from editing, and take time to learn your way around. Also, for future reference... if you're looking for an admin, just look here: Wikipedia:List of administrators Good luck - theWOLFchild 00:54, 11 December 2013 (UTC)
